"October has been a busy ~onth and the youth seem to ~row more bold each day and Hallowe'en was the most destructive yet, much real damage was done, and considerable property loss resulted. J. Jones, Assessment Commissioner, instead of Chie£ Assessor: CARRIED AGREED - Clerk ask Canadian National Railway to extend the guard rails on the North side of their crossing between Lots 26 and.27. Clerk to prepare a By-Law re Road Culverts, and send William Hume applica- tion for Engineer's Award. AGREED that Council meet ?~r. Balsdon, moves that By-Law Number 1879 to provide for appointment of an Engineer under the Ditches and Watercourses Act, be now read a second time, and that the Council go into Committee of the whole thereon. McEwen, moves that By-Law Number 1879 to provide for appointment of an Engineer under the Ditches and Watercourses Act, be now read a third time and passed; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and that the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.
