A special .meeting of council was held on Tuesday evening, July 10th,
1951, co~menclng at eight o,dlook.

The following correspondence was read :-
1. ' M~s. J.G.TaYlot claiming damage to ca~ in the Spring -
repudiated by Insurance Company because late in nOtifying
Clerk - Claims notified Road Superintendent immediately~
who stated to send bill to Clerk - bill was received
3 weeks sifter accident. Council took no action.
2. Dept. of Lands & Forests - Fish and Wildlife Division:
asking COuncil to ~econsider an open season on deer
because of damage to crops, liability to motor cars, etc.
Council still did not wish to reconsider owing to
scarcity of deer fnTownship and danger from indiscriminate
shooting in an area of 10,000 population.
3- The Japanese in Concession ~, Lot 18, asked for, possibly,
$2,500. tile loan from Township. Dr. McEwen to talk
to them.

On MOTION M~. W. M. Fairg~ieve was heard regarding a kennel
license in Concession 1, Lot 27.
After considerable discussion, the following major work was agreed
to be done a~ far as possible in the year 1951:-
1. Conc.~, opposite Lot 18 - ~ile b~shing and widening.
2. Audl~y Road from No' 2 to No. 7 - Ditch, grade and graVel.
3. ~ickering Beach Road from No.2 Highway t° Lake.
4. Concession 2, from Brock Road to Altona Road.
and west on Range Line.
Brock Road, South from No.2 Highway to~e.
7. Conc. 7 opposite Lot 8.
8. Conc. 7 between Lots 28 and 29 (Harold Mitchell).
9. Concession 2 between Lots 30 and 31 - south of Cher~ywood lb
10. Base Line from Church Street to Station Road.
11. Conc. 4 between Lots 30 and 31 - ~ile south of Whitevale.
12. Uxbridge Townline - 1 mile west of Altona.

14. Old Rosebank Road from No.2A Highway to Lake.
15. Raise Picketing Beach Road between Store a~d Ajax.
