A SPECIAL~MEETING~of Council was held on THURSDAY evening, JUNE 14t
1951,' commencing' at Eight o'clock.

The revised truck tenders were read and resulted as follows :-

MOVED by Mr. M.B.Burk, seconded by Mr. C.A.Balsdon, that insurance
on radio, office furnishings and-Township Police cars be placed
with D. G. Maitland at prices quoted. CARRIED.
As the Improvement District' of Ajax has-refused to pay the costs
of Administration of Welfare for January and February 1951, it
was MOVED by Mr. M.B.Bur~, seconded by Mr. F.E.Zinkie, that the
Treast~er endeavor to collect costs of administration of Welfare
from A J ax. CARRIED.
The Department of Game and Fisheries propose to give an open
season on deer for all of Picketing Township. It was therefore
MOVED by Mr. M.B.Burk, seconded by Mr. C.A.Balsdon, that Council
pe-~ionthe Department of Game and Fisheries to exclude the
Township of Picketing from an open season on deer as is presently
proposed by the Department. (Copy to County Clerk) CARRI.ED.
AGREED the Clerk write the Improvement District of Ajax that we
will permit their placing Calcium Chloride or oil on sideline
between Lots 10 and 11 opposite Central Mortgage & Housing
Corporation houses, and notify Jack Bunting to this effect.
MOVED by Dr. N.E.McEwen that the meeting adjourn. CARRIED.
APPROVED
