A Meeting of the Council was held on MONDAY~ DECEMBER .P~IRST~.t 1950,
commencing at the hour of ONE O'CLOCK in the afternoon.
PRESENT: Reeve W. H. Westney, in the Chair
Deputy-Reeve G. T. TOdd
Councillor C. A. Balsdon
Councillor M. B. Burk and
Councillor F. E. Zinkie.
The MINUTES of the meeting held on November 1st, 1950, were read, and
on MOTION of Mm. M.B.Burk, seconded by Mm. G.T'Todd~ ADOPTED.
The MINUTES of the m~eting held on November 8th, 1950, were read, and
on MOTION of Mm. G.T..Todd, seconded by Hr. M. B. Burk, ADOPTED.
The following CORRES~ONDENCE was read:-
~. H. A. Newman - asking that the culvert to his property at Lot 26
B.F.R'~'3, be given him free.
2. Mrs. Irene Rolls - advising that her summer cottage in Plan 284
Lot 7~'is being sold, and asking permission for it to be considered
a year-round~elling. She agreed to deposit $300.00 as a guarantee
that she would build a proper solid foundation around the entire
building by July 1st, 1951.
2. Office of the Fire Marshal - advising that grants will be paidon
a second-hand, 1,000' gallon water truck to supplement regular equipm
if it car~ies 500 feet 1~" hose and a booster ~ump.
3, R. Layzell of Taitwood - complaining about east-west Woodview Road.
4. W. A. Palmer, Dept. of Municipal Affairs - advising that costs of
polic8 areas may be Ickier' 'as Cou~cit sees fit.
5- Municipal Board - Order creating the Corporation of the Improvement
Distr'~cb' of Ajax.
6. E. Enott~ Clerk, Scarborough - advising that our mutual sideline

7. Canadian Mothercraft Societ~ of Toronto - asking for a grant.
8. J, R. Nixon, County Engineer - advising that the Picketing Beach
Bridge has now been completed.
9. MagiStrate Ebbs - October fines - $120.06.
10. DepartmeMt of Highways - asking Council to give cons~ration to a
new location for the Fire Hall at East Woodlands.
11. F. J. Prouse, Building Inspector - Permits for November, 1950
