An .EMERGENT MEETING of Members of Council was held on I~iday,
Februaa-y 2~th, 1950, at the hou~ of one' o,clock in the afternoon.

Councillors Clare A. Balsdon
Milton B, Burk and ~ed E. Zinkie.
BY-LAW No. 1811
M~. George T. Todd, seconded by Mr. Cla~e Balsdon,
moves for leave to introduce a By-law for the appropriation
of road expenditures du~ing 1950,'and that~same now be read a
first time.
Mr. George T. Todd, seconded by Mr. Milton Bu~k, moves that
By-law No. 1811 - 1950 Road Appropriation - be now read a
second time, and that the Council go into Committee of the.
whole thereon.
Mr. George T. Todd, seconded by Mr. Ned Zinkie, moves that
the Report of the Committee of the whole on By-law No. 1811
be adopted, and that the said By-law be now read a third time
and passed; that the Reeve and Clerk eighths same, and that
the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED.
As the Department refused to accept a specified sum for the Road
Superintendant's use of his ca~, Mr. Wa~d asked Six Cents (6~) per
mile for his car plus his gas.
MOVED by Mr. Todd, seconded by Mr. Zinkie, that the Road
Su-~-~intendent be given 6~ per mile for use of his car on
Township business plus gasoline, effective January 1.19~9. CARRIED.
Mr. ~ank Prouse, Building Inspector, was heard, and it was
agreed that MessrS'BalSdo~ and Todd be a committee to b~ng
in a report on future set up and salaa-y of the Building Inspector.

ax be given a Taxi License for an extra cab wi~h ~iver. C.ARR]
MOVED by Mr. Todd, seconded by Mr. Burk, that Vernon Ellicott be
em--~yed at Ninety-five Cents (95~) per hour to renovate the
Municipal Building, as fa~ as Council sees fit. CARRIED.
The Clerk was directed to w~ite the C.P.R. and ask them to assume
the cost or'levelling the approaches to the C.P.R. track between
Lots ~ and 5 in the Ninth Concession.
The Report of the Police Committee was read and Members of Council
were asked to take action at the next meetimg.
The meeting then on motion adjourned.
