The matter of the ProVincial Police was discussed but no action
taken.
The meeting, on motion, adjourned to meet on Monday,
March 21st next, at 8 P.M.

An Emergent Meeting of Council Members was held in the
Municipal Building on March 21st, 19A9, at Eight o'clock
in the evening. Ail Members were present, the Reeve
in the Chair.
ON MOTION Mr. Morgan of Morgandale, was heard, who cmmplained
about the condition of the hill. It was agreed that the
Road Superintendent should inspect the hill and gravel if
necessary.
Mr. Blackwell, Assessor, told Council of the changes in the
assessment manual, stating that nearly every assessment would
have to be changed and that he would require more help.
As the Road Superintendent reported that two good pine trees
had been cut by Richard Tweedie and that same were still
inside his fence,
It was-MOVED by Mr. Disney, and seconded by Mr. Burk, that
Roy Ward be.authorized to reclaim the two pine trees cut on
sideline between lots 1~ and lS in 6th Concession, and to use
Police if necessary. CARRIED:
MOvED by Mr. Balsdon, seconded by Mr' Toddy, that Township
wire ~fence bonus be raised from AO~ to. 60~ per rod. CARRIED:
MOVED by Mr, Balsdon, seconded by Mr. Todd that the Road
Superintendent be instructed to clean up Range Line opposite
lot SA. CARRIED..-.
'MOVED by Mr. Balsdon, seconded by Mr. Todd that Chief Irvine
be ashe~ for his resignation, and that~applioations be ~oalle~
for another man. MOTION DEFEATS..:
MOVED by Mr. Disney, seconded by Mr. Burk, that agreement be
signed with the Provincial Police for policing of our
~esignated area. CARRIED:
MOVED by Mr. Todd, seconded by Mr. Disney, that the %ars of
policing the designated area be borne by the entire Township.
CARRIED:
