The Municipal Council of the Township of Plckerlng, met
in e--margaret session at Brougham, on Tuesday, February 15th~1949~
pN~suant to adjournment. All Members present; the Reeve in
the Chair.
The following corresponAence was read :-
1. High School Board asking for advance of $~,000.
2. Petition of Ratepayers of P.~45 asking for survey of drainage
..C0rres- 3. Dr. Loos advising he has resigmed as Sanitary Inspeetor
~ondenee of City of 0shows as of May ~1.1949.
..Read 4. Township of Searboro, advising that School Rate for Area 2
for 194g to be 2~. mills.
5. l'rovinsial Police advising that they are making survey of
South Plckerlng with a view of giving costs to Police.
6. Mrs. ~. Restell advising that her cottage has been
washeA away, and that she should net be assessed for same.
~oved by Mr. Burk, Seconded by Mr. Disney, that Mr. D.~.Kean be
aakeA to survey Plan ~A5 re drainage. CARRIED:
~ Moved by Mr. M.B.Burk, Seconded by Mr. E.F.Disney, that
Estate application of Floyd Ho~e' as exeeutor of ~egarth Estate,
S~ub-DlV. to sub-divide south east part Lot S5 in First Concession,
be approved as recommended by the Plahhing Board, subject to
the approval of the Department of Planning and Development.

Tax ~ove~ by M~. Clare Baladon, Secomded by Mr. George Todd, that

arrears on same are a~all, no sale be held for the year lg45.

Water Mr. M.B.Burk, Seconded by Mr. C.A.Balsdon, moves for leave to
~ introduce a By-law to provide a vote being taken of the Electors
~xcmer- of the Police Village of Plokering on the question of the

a_~. or I~lemerxng, at an approximate cost of $$~,000, (Ninety Three
Thousand Dollars) and that same now be read a first time.

Ne.l?S2 to provide a vote being taken of the Electors of the
Police Village of Picketing on the question ef the establish-
mast of a Municipal Water Systems in the Police Village of
Piekerimg, at am approximate coat of $9S,000. (Ninety Three
Thousamd Dollars) be now read a seeond tl~e, am~ that the
Coumcil go lmto committee of the whole thereon.
Mr. M.B.~ha~k,: Seconded by Mr. C.A.Balsdon, moved that the
report of the Com~zittee of the whole on By-law No.1762 be
adopted, and that the said By-law be mow read m .*bird time,
that the marne do now pass, that the Reeve amd Clerk sign
the same, and that the seal of the Corporation be affixed
there to. CARRIED:
New The High Sehool Beard met Couneil and a diseusslon arose
High regax~ling the ereetion and site for a mew high sehool
School building for the Township. Mr. Booth and Mr. Archibald,
School Inspectors, were also present.
