The Municipal Council 'Of the Township of PiCketing ~et on the
above date. at Brougha~ pursuant to adjournment. All members
, present, the Reeve in the chair. The minutes were presented and
o~ ~otlon of Mr. Burk seconded by Dr. MoE~en were approved.
The 'following' correspondence was read:
1.. Mrs- ]~lith ~[ughes, complaint re Picketing Beach dust and
speed of oars. Mr. Balsdon to contact Mrs. ~ghes.
2. Levi C. Annis regarding H. V. Shlpley closing sideline be-
tween lots 34' and 35, south of Range 3.
Cortes- 3. J, R. Hunter, complaint about Mr. Corry att'aching a barbed
~n~'enc®. wire fence on the ~ffln Creek bridge, which endangers children
swl~alng.
4. Mrs. V. M. l[onkle, PIckering Beach, 'complaining about the
installation of her culvert by Township.
5. Dunbarton S~ores Association asking Township to erect a read
sign for ~hem.
6. H. ~. Smith, Ro=u~e Hills, complaining about condition of roads.
7. W. A. Burrltt, Ns lot 13, Con. 4, complaining about speed of
traffic.
8. N. L. Griffin, Plckering Beach complaining about his street,
Lakecrest Drive, not being taken over by Township and requesting
Council to ~pu~p water f~om lots into lake.
~. Department of Planning and Development, submitting proposed
plan of J. G. Taylor in lot 23, Range 3, for subdivision.
10. Mrs. Birch of Toronto wished Council to make a donati~
to clean up Sha~ard Cemetery, lot 21, Con. $.
11, 0. P.R,, enclosing blue prints of sights at railroad crossing
between lots 11-. 12, Con. 4.
12. ¢. F. Bulmer. requesting that roads at ~th Concession and
Greenwmod road b~ oiled.

The following persons on motion were heard:
1. Lloyd Taylor, complaining ~hat Fence Viewers' Award between
him and ~o~n Bryne had not. been completed by Bryno as per ~ward.
Instructed to have work done and sub~t bills to Council.
Persons ~. James Farley, Picketing Beach, complained that no work had
Heard ~' been done on Lakecrest Drive, as agreed. Road Superintendent to
spend $250.00 on this road, to be charged to Plckering Beach Rds.
3. R.. C. Reesor, asking that sideline between lots 24 and 25 in
Third Concession, where road cuts in on h&s farm, be properly
~eeded.
4. Wellington Chester, re weeds at Rouge Hills.
5. W.. H. Chester, re possibility of fires from weeds.
6. Mr. Stewart wanted his road improved, between lots 30-31
in Seventh Concession.
7. Mr. Palmer of Scarborough, asking the Township to become a
member, of Ontario Shore and Beach Preservation Association at
$100.0~, with a view of forcing the Province to lower the lakes.
8. J., B. Ix-vine, submitting report of Police Department for ~uly.
9. Mr, ~. Martin of East Woodlands, re High School pupils; fire
area for East Woodlands; roads, etc.
10. Mr. Beare,-County Weed Inspector, re weeds.

Moved by Mr. Burk, seconded by Mr. Disney, that a survey be made
by Town~hlp of the Sideline between lots 24 and 25 in the Third
Motions concession where road is now in lot 25 so that the grade of the
' hill be eased, that deed for present read be secured from R. C'
Reamer and deed for o~iginal road allowance be given R. C. Reesor.

Moved by Mr. Burk, seconded by Dr. McEwen, that a sign, "Slow,
bad hill" be placed opposite lot 13 in Fifth COncession
Carried.
Moved by Mr. Balsdon, seconded by Dr. McEwen, that blue print of
proposed subdivision of J. G. Taylor In lot 23 Range 3, Broken
Front, is acceptable to the Council of the Township of Picketing
for registration, subject to the approval of the Dept. of Plan-
ning and Development. Carrled~.
Moved by Mr. Burk, seconded by Dr. McEwen, that Council grant up
to $2§.00 to equal any ~sum donated to repair the Sharrard Cemetery
in lot 21, Concession 6. Carried.
