A meeting of the Pickering Township
Council was held on MONDAY, the
NINTH day of DECEMBER, 1968, at
g:05 p.m.

Council went into special session to give third reading to the
following by-laws dealing with the Township of Pickering 7-1/2%
Debentures, $l,lg3,OOO.00, United States, dated December 1, 1969.
By-law Number 3573 - Third Reading
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as
read.
Councillor V. Rudik, seconded by Councillor J. Kruger, moves
that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Numb~r
3573, to authorize the issue of debentures in the principal c
amount of $4g,000.OO (purchase of industrial land sites) be
adopted, and that the said By-law be now read a Third Time a~d
PASSED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of
the Corporation be affixed thereto.

By-Law Number 3574 - Third Reading
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as
read.
Councillor V. Rudik, seconded by Councillor D. Kitchen, movee
that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Numb~r
3574, to authorize the issue of Debentures in the principal
amount of $91,000.00 (Watermains - Fairport, Dunbar, Hwy. #2),
be adopted, and that the said By-law be now read a Third Tim~
and PASSED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal
~f the Corporation be affixed thereto.

amount of $130,000.00 (Watermains and Sanitary Sewers - West
side of Liverpool Road), be adopted, and that the said By-la~
be now read a Third Time and PASSED, that the Reeve and Cler~
sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.

that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Number
3576, to authorize the issue of Debentures in the principal..
amount of $134,000.00 to pay the cost of construction of an
addition to an existing police station, be adopted, and that
the said By-law be now read a Third Time and PASSED, that the
Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation
be affixed thereto.

By-Law Number 3577 - Third Reading
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as
read.
Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Councillor V. Rudik, moves
that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Number
3577, to authorize the issue of Debentures in the principal
amount of $178,000.00 to pay part of the cost of constructing
certain works as local improvements {Watermains and Sanitary
Sewers - Industrial land), be adopted, and that the said By-law
be now read a Third Time and PASSED, that the Reeve and Cler~
sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed'
thereto.

The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as
read.

that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Number
3578, to authorize the issue of Debentures in the principal
amount of $602,000.00 to pay part of the costs of constructing
certain works as local improvements (Reservoir and watermain$
Rosebank Road), be adopted, and that the said By-law be now.
read a Third Time and PASSED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign the
same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.

By-Law Number 3579 - Third Reading
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as
read.

that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Number
3579, to authorize the issue of Debentures in the aggregate.

States of America for the following, as listed below, be adopted,
and that the said By-law be now read a Third Time and PASSED,
that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the
Corportaion be affixed thereto.

By-Law Number 3587
Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Councillor V. Rudik, moves
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering
to set aside in a reserve fund any portion of the exchange
premium realized from the sale of Debentures authorized by
By-law Number 3579, not required to pay the cost of the works,
to be used to pay the exchange premium on the annual payments~
and that same now be read a first time.

Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Councillor D. Kitchen, moveø
that By-law Number 3587 to provide for a reserve fund be now
read a second time, and that Council go into Committee of the
Whole thereon.

Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Councillor V. Rudik, moves
that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Number
3587 be adopted, and that the said By-law be now read a Third
Time and PASSED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and
the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.

By-Law Number 3588
Councillor D. Kitchen, seconded by Councillor J. Kruger, moves
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering to
authorize the execution of an Agreement between the Corporation
of the Township of Pickering and Joseph Gerrard Schraven dated
December 4, 1968 and that same now be read a first time.
Councillor D, Kitchen, seconded by Councillor V. Rudik, moves
that By-law Number 3588 to authorize the execution of an
Agreement between the Corporation of the Township of Pickering
and Joseph Gerrard Schraven dated December 4, 19ó8 be now read
a seccnd time, and that Council go into Committee of the Who~e
thereon. .

read.

that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Numb~r
3588 be adopted, and that the said By-law be now read a Third
Time and PASSED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and
the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.
