A meeting of the Pickering Township
Council was held on MONDAY, the
TWENTY-FIFTH day of NOVEMBER, 1968,
at 9:2S P.M.

The Committee of the Whole Council convened into Council at 9:25 p.m.
to give readings to the following by-laws.
By-Law Number 3572
Deputy Reeve R. Chatten, seconded by Councillor V. Rudik,.moves
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Picker~ng to
amend By-laws Numbers 3472, 3194, 3207, 3405, and 3444L and
that same now be read a first time. (Industrial Land YUrchase;
Reservoir and watermains, Rosebank area; Watermains and Sanitary
Sewers - West side of Liverpool Road and Industrial lands.)
Deputy Reeve Chatten, seconded by Councillor D. Beer, moves
that By-law Number 3572 to amend By-laws Numbers 3472, 3194,
3207, 3405 and 3444 be now read a second time, and that Council
go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as
read.
Deputy Reeve Chatten, seconded by Councillor D. Kitchen, moves
that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Number
3572 be adopted, ànd that the said By-law be now read a Third
Time and PASSED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and
the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.

By-Law Number 3573 (Two readings only)
Councillor V. Rudik, seconded by Councillor D. Beer, moves for
leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering to
authorize the issue of debentures in the principal amount of
$48,000.00 (purchase of industrial land sites) and that same
now be read a first time.

Councillor V. Rudik, seconded by Deputy Reeve R. Chatten,
moves that By-law Number 3573 to authorize the issue of debentures
in the principal amount of $48,000.00 be now read a second time,
and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
By-Law Number 3574 (Two readings only)
Councillor V. Rudik, seconded by Councillor D. Kitchen, moves
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering to
authorize the issue of Debentures in the principal amount of
$91,000.00 ~atermains - Fairport, Dunbar, Hwy. #2 ) and that
same now be read a first time.
Councillor V. Rudik, seconded by Councillor J. Kruger, moves
that By-law Number 3574 to authorize the issue of Debentures in
the principal amount of $91,000.00 be now read a second time,
and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.

leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering to
authorize the issue of debentures in the principal amount of
$l30,000.00 (Watermains and Sanitary Sewers - West Side of
Liverpool Road) and that same now be read a first time.
Councillor D. Beer, seconded by Councillor J. Kruger, moves
that By-law Number 3575 to authorize the issue of debentures
in the principal amount of $l30,000.00 be now read a second
time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole the~eon.
By-Law Number 3576 (Two Readings only)
Councillor D. Beer, seconded by Councillor V. Rudik, moves for
leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering to
authorize the issue of Debentures in the principal amount of
$l34,000.00 to pay the cost of construction of an addition to
an existing police station, and that same now be read a first
time.
Councillor D. Beer, seconded by Deputy Reeve R. Chatten, moves
that By-law Number 3576 to authorize the issue of Debentures
in the principal amount of $l34êOOO.00 be now read a second
time, and that Council go into ommittee of the Who~ thereon.
By-Law Number 3577 (Two Readings only)
Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Councillor V. Rudik, moves
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering
to authorize the issue of Debentures in the principal amount
of $l78,OOO.00 to pay part of the cost of constructing
certain works as local improvements (Watermains and Sanitary
Sewers - Industrial land) and that same now be read a first
time.
Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Councillor D. Kitchen, moves
that By-law Number 3577 to authorize the issue of Debentures
in the principal amount of $l78 000,00 be now read a second
time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
By-Law Number 3578 (Two Readings only)
Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Deputy Reeve R. Chatten,
moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of
Pickering to authorize the issue of Debentures in the principal
amount of $602,000.00 to pay part of the costs of constructing
certain works as local improvements (Reservoir and watermains
Rosebank Road) and that same now be read a first time.
Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Councillor V. Rudik, moves
that By-law Number 3578 to authorize the issue of Debentures
in the principal amount of $602,000.00 be now read a second time
and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.

By-Law Number 3579 (Two Readings only)
Councillor D. Kitchen, seconded by Councillor J. Kruger, moves
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering to
authorize the issue of Debentures in the aggregate principal
amount of $1,l83,000.00 in lawful money of the United States of
America for the following, and that same now be read a first
time.

Councillor D. Kitchen, seconded by Councillor V. Rudik, moves
that By-law Number ;579 to authorize the issue of Debentures
in the aggregate principal amount of $1,l83,OOO.00 be now read
a second time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole
thereon,

Three-fourths of all members of the Council voted in ~avour of the
passing of the above by-laws,
Moved by Councillor D. Kitchen, seconded by Councillor J. Kruger that
the Council meeting adjourn at 9:45 p.m.
Council adjourned at 9:45 p.m. to reconvene into Committee of the
Whole Council.
