A meeting of the Pickering
Township Council was held on
TUESDAY, the NINETEENTH day
of SEPTEMBER at 9:35 p.m.

Council convened from Committee of the Whole in Finance at 9:35 p.m.
Council received a form of Resolution from the Pickering District
High School Board requesting Council to approve the application for
a debenture issue in the amount of $1,732,766.00 for the construction
of a 32 room addition to the Dunbarton High School.
Resolution #304/67
MOVED by Councillor Chatten, seconded by Councillor Waller,
whereas the Board of Trustees of the Pickering District High
School District have applied to the municipal councils having
jurisdiction in the said High School District for the issue
of debentures in an amount not exceeding $1,723,766.00 repay-
able over a period of 20 years to provide for the cost of
constructing and equipping a high school for the said district
at JLocation of Schooll or for the purpose of
making permanent improvements to the existing high school at
Dunbarton consisting of 32 rooms.
BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering being a municipality included or partly
included in the said High School District hereby approves the
said application and agrees to assume its proper proportion
of the amounts required to pay for the said debentures and
interest thereon and the expenses connected therewith to be
determined from time to time in the manner provided by The
Secondary Schools and Boards of Education Act, 1954.

The Committee of the Whole in Finance convened into Council again
at 11:45 p.m.
By-Law Number 3371
Councillor D. Beer, seconded by Councillor R. Chatten, moves
for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering
to authorize the signing of an Agreement with the Town of
Ajax Community Centre Board for Ice Rental time, and that
Same now be read a first time.
Councillor D. Beer, seconded by Councillor H. Spang, moves
that By-law Number 3371 to authorize the signing of an
Agreement with the Town of Ajax Community Centre Board for
Ice Rental Time, be now read a second time, and that Council
go into Committee of the Whole thereon.

The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as
read.
Councillor D. Beer, seconded by Councillor R. Chatten, moves
that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law
Number 3371 be adopted, and that the said By-law be now read
a Third Time and PASSED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign the
same, and the Seal of The Corporation be affixed thereto.
CARRIED
Moved by Councillor Williams, seconded by Councillor Spang, that
this Council meeting now adjourn at 11:50 p.m.
