A meeting of Pickering Township
Council was held on TUESDAY the "
THIRTY-FIRST day of JANUARY, 1966

A special meeting of Council was called for the purpose
of finalizing the agenda of January 30th, 1967. The
items under correspondence and information will be placed
on the Pebruary 6th, 1961 agenda.
Resolution #46/67
MOVED by Councillor N. Waller. seconded by Deputy
Reeve J. L. McPherson, that all 6 (six) Township
cars be left at the Municipal Building after regular
working hours with the keys to be left at the office
of the Clerk, as discussed at the Committee of the
Whole meeting of December 13. 1966.

BY-LAWS
By-Law Number 3244
Councillor H. Spang, seconded by Councillor D.
Beer moves for leave to introduce a By-law of The
Township of Pickering to dedicate Part of Lot l,
Registered Plan 410 as a public highway and that
same now be read a first time.
Councillor H. Spang, seconded by Deputy Reeve
J. L. McPherson moves that By-law Number 3244
to dedicate Part of Lot 1, Registered Plan 410 as
a public highway be now re~d a second ttme, ana
that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the
By-law as read.

Chatten moves that the report of the Committee

R. Chatten moves for leave to introduce a By-law
of The Township of Pickering to authorize the
Reeve and Clerk to sign an agreement with the Town-
ship of Uxbridge relating to the Uxbridge Pickering
Townline and that same now be read a first time.
Councillor J. Williams, seconded by Deputy Reeve
J. L. McPherson moves that By-law Number 3245
to authorize the Reeve and Clerk to sign an
agreement with the Township of Uxbridge relating to
the Uxbridge Pickering Townline be now read a
second time, and that Counc il go into Committee
of the Whole theron.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports
the By-law as read.
Councillor J. Williams, seconded by Councillor
N. Waller, moves that the report of the Committee
of the Whole on By-law Number 3245 be adopted, and
that the said By-law be now read a Third Time and
PASSBD, that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same,
and the Seal of the corporation be affixed thereto.

N. WaLler moves for leave to introduce a By-law
of The Township of Pickering to amend By-law
#3147 naming a Plumbing Inspection Board of the
Township of pickering and that same now be read
a first time.
Councillor R. Chatten, seconded by Councillor
H. Spang moves that By-law Number 3246 to amend By-
law #3l47 naming a Plumbing Inspection Board of
the Township of Pickering be now read a second
time, and that Council go into Committee of
the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the
By-law as read.

J. Williams moves that the report of the Committee
of the Whole on By-law Number 3246 be adopted, and
that the said By-law be now read a Third Time and
PASSED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same,
and the Seal of the corporation be affixed thereto.

Motion - MOVED by Councillor J. Williams, seconded
by councillor N. Waller, that Clause (2)
be deleted from the By-law.

of The Township of pickering to dedicate Part of
Blocks A and K and Part of Lots 153, 154 and 155
on Plan 319 as a public highway and that same now
be read a first ttme.

H. Spang moves that By-law Number 3247 to dedicate
Part of Lots 153, 154 and 155 on Plan 319 as a
public highway be now read a second time, and that
Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports
the By-law as read.

of the Whole on By-law Number 3247 be adopted, and
that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and the

Councillor H. Spang, seconded by Deputy Reeve
J. L. McPherson moves for leave to introduce
a By-law of the Township of Pickering to
authorize the signing of the Collective Union
Agreement and that same now be read a first time.
Counèillor H. Spang, seconded by Councillor
D. Beer, moves that By~law Number 3248 to authorize
the .~wpa.igg of the Collective Union Agreement
be now read a second time, and that Council go
into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Connittee of the Whole arises and reports the
By-law as read.
Councillor H. Spang, seconded by Councillor
J. Williams, moves that the report of the Committee
of the Whole on By-law Number 3248 be adopted,
and that the said By-law be now read a Third Time
and PASSED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign the
same, and the Seal of the c.-~åtion be affixed
thereto.

of the'-eawnship of Pickering to appoint auditors
for the Township of Pickering and that same now
be read a fiEst time.
Councillor N. Waller, seconded by Councillor D.
Beer moves that By-law Number 3249 to appoint
auditors for the Township of Pickering be now
read a second time, and that Council go into
Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the
By-law as read.
Councillor N. Waller, seconded by Councillor J.
Williams moves that the report of the Committee
of the Whole on By-law Number 3249 be adopted, and
tha't the said By-law be now read a Third Time and
PASSED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same,
and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.

Spang, moves for leave to introduce a By-law of
The Township of Pickering to appoint members to
the ~ip of Pickering Public Library Board
and that same now be read a first time.
Councillor D. Beer, seconded by Deputy Reeve
J. L. McPherson moves that By-law Number 3250
to appoint members to the Township of PickerinC}
Public Library Board be now raad a second time, and
that Council go into Committee of the Whole
thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports
the By-law as read.
Councillor D. Beer, seconded by Councillor J.
Williams moves that the report of the Committee
of the Whole on By-law Number 3250 be adopted,
and that the said By-law be now read a Third Time
and PASSED, that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same,
and the Seal of the corPOra~ion be affixed thereto.

A By-law to appoint members to the Pickering Township
Industrial Committee for the year 1967 was tabled and
referred to Committee of the Whole Council for further
deliberation.
