Resolution #250/73
MOVED by Councillor K. Matheson, seconded by Councillor
Mrs. J. L. McPherson, that whereas Councillor D. Quick
has submitted his resignation as Councillor for Ward Si
NOW THEREFORE B~ IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
Coz~poration of the Township of Picketing consents to
Don Quick's resignation and hereby accepts same.

Resolution #251/73
MOVED by Deputy Reeve G. Ashe, seconded by Councillor
K. Matheson, that whereas Councillor D. Quick has
resigned as Councillor for Ward 5 in the Township of
Pickering~
AND WHEREAS Council has consented to and accepted same~
~D WHEREAS Section ~ (1) of the Municipal Act,
R.S.O. 1970 requires that an appointment be made to
fill the vacancy~
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Mr. Bruce Searle
be appointed as Councillo~ for Ward $ until December
31st, 1973.

Resolution #252/73
MOVED by Councillor J. Anderson, seconded by Councillor
Mrs. J. L. McPherson, that the tender of Harnden &
King Construction Limited in the amounts of $1.20
per ton (Delivered to the Township Pit) and $1.~0 pe~
ton (Delivered to the Township Yard) be accepted for
the supply of Sand for Winter Control, subject to the
approval of the Ministry of Transportation and
Communications.

Resolution #255/79
MOVED by' Councillor Hrs. J. L. McPherson, seconded by
Councillor K. Matheson, that the tender of Miller
Paving Limited in the amount of $12.379 per ton, be
accepted for the supply of Highway Coarse Salt, subject
to the approval of the Ministry of Transportations and
Communications.

Resolution #25q/73
MOVED by Deputy Reeve G. Ashe, seconded by Councillor
Mrs. J. L. McPherson, that whereas, as per Resolution
#$3/75 the Ministry of Environment were advised that
the Township considers that the Bay Road Sewage
Treatment facilities are adequate for the J.D.S.
development and the Ministry were to proceed with the
processing of the draft plan of subdivision, File
18T-23~78;
AND WHEREAS Resolution ~1S9/73 states that the Council
of the Township of Picketing inform the Ministry of
the Environment that it concurs with the Ministry as
to the existing capacity for 5,62q persons (subject
to increase as a result of the findings of the study
by Oliver Lloyd and Associates) and as to the concept
of phasing with allocations to be agreed upon at the
Township level;
· ~4D WHEREAS the Ministi,y of the Environment in their
letter to the TcwnshJ. p, dated September 7, 1973, have
requested a breakdown of the specific lots in the
proposal;
AND WHEREAS the report on the Central York-Picketing
Servicing and the Bay Road Water Pollution Control
Plant which was produced by Oliver Lloyd and
Associates indicates a reserve capacity of 10,000
persons for the Bay Road Water Pollution Control
Plant;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Council of the
Township of Picketing notify the Ministry of the
Environment that an allocation of 3,~98 persons is to
be assigned to Pickeming Developments Limited (J.D.S.)
and that draft plan of subdivision File 18T-23~78 be
processed accopdingly.
