A meeting of the Picketing Township
Council was held on MONDAY, the
TENTH day of SEPTEMBER, 1973, at
9:30 p.m.

Resolution #2q3/73
MOVED by Councillor J. Anderson, seconded by
Councillor D. Kitchen, that the Corporation
of the Township of Picketing has no objection
to the holding of a beer garden in the
Claremont Community Park on September 15,
1973, by the Cla~emont Community Softball
Association.

By-Law Number ~20/73
Deputy Reeve G. Ashe, seconded by Councillor
D. Kitchen, moves for leave to introduce a By-law
of the Township of Picketing to authorize the
execution of an Agreement between the Pickerig
Panthers Junior Hockey Inc. and the Corporation
of the Township of Picketing dated the 10th of
September, 1973, (Ice Rental), and that same
now be read a first time.
Deputy Reeve G. Ashe, seconded by Councillor
K. Matheson moves that By-law Number ~20/75
to authorize the execution of an Agreement
between the Picketing Panthers Junior Hockey
· Inc. and the Corporation of the Township of
Picketing be now read a second time, and that
Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports
the By-law as read.
Deputy Reeve G. Ashe, seconded by Councillor
J. Anderson, moves that the report of the
Committee of the Whole on By-law Number ~20/73
be adopted, and that the said By-law be now
read a Third Time and PASSED, that the Reeve
and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the
Corporation be affixed thereto.

Moved by Deputy Reeve G. Ashe, that Council adjourn into
Executive Committee Closed Session at 9:50 p.m.
Executive Committee reconvened into Council at 10:35 p.m.
Resolution #244/73
MOVED by Councillor Mrs. J. L. McPherson,
seconded by Councillor D. Kitchen, that Council
hereby authorizes the Township Solicitor to
commence injunctive proceedings against
Paul Kotsopoulos of Part Lot 19, Plan 820,
Fairport Road North, and further, that the
Solicitor be authorized to retain Counsel
to aid in the prosecution of the suit in
order to obtain an injunction and order to
remove the house presently being constructed
without a building permit.

A motion by Councillor J. Anderson to rescind Resolution
# 218/73 was lost as there was no seconder. (The
Resolution was to withdraw the Township's action against
Miss E. V. Swan.)

Moved by Councillor McPherson that Council adjourn at
10:40 p.m.
