A meeting of the Picketing Township
Council was held on MONDAY, the
NINETEENTH day of FEBRUARY, 1975,
at 8:00 P.M.

D. Kitchen, that the minutes of the meeting of Feb~uar~
5, 1973, be adopted as presented.

~r. Conlin, of the firm Gardiner, Roberts, appeared
Council on behalf of Consolidated Building Corporation,
with respect to Plan M-106, Lots ~2 and
~tr. Conlin pointed out that the lots provide s~fficient
area for semi-detached according to the bM-law,
semi-detached a~e not permitted on corner lore, ~hA~ theee
properties are. The Pl-~ning st~ff were prep~d tO AC~ep~
owner's proposal providing he entered into a site
agreement coverin& amongst other things, ingress and
egress. He asked that Council reject the recommendation
of the Planning Board.

D. Kitchen, that Mr. J. A. Coates be heard.
Mr. Coates appeared with respect to views on Regional
GOvernment, in particular, Division of the Township,
'Airport, and Cedar~ood City. (See brief on file)

Councillor K. Matheson, secondedby Councillor D. Quick,
moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township
of Picketing to authorize the Reeve and Clerk to execute
an Agreement between the Township and the Trustees of
the ~race Presbyterian Church, a~d that same now be
read a first time.
Councillor K. Matheson, seconded by Councillor
D. Kitchen, moves that By-law Number ~31S/73 to authorize
the Reeve and Clerk to execute an Agreement between
the Township and the Trustees of the 8race Presbyterian
Church be now read a second time, and that Council go
into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law
as read.
Councillor K. Matheson, seconded by Councillor Mrs. J. L.
McPherson, moves that the report of the Committee of the
Whole on By-law Number ~315/73 be adopted, and that the
said By-law be now read a Third Time and PASSED, that
the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the
Corporation be affixed thereto. .

1. A by-law to appoint members to the Township of Picketing
Public Library Board.
Deferred to Executive Committee February 26, 1973.
~VI) OTHER BUSINESS
1. The Reeve raised the fact that confidential matters,
dealing with an offer fop 1 acre of land, discussed
in the Closed Committee Meeting of February 15, were,
at the time of this meeting~ now public knowledge.
The Reeve expressed grave concern over apparent
disclosure of confidential info~mation.
2. Councillor Kitchen raised the question of disposal of
septic effluent. The matter was referred to the
Executive Committee.

Councillor Mrs. J. L. McPherson, seconded by Councillor
J. Anderson, moves for leave to introduce a By-law
of the Township of Picketing to confirm the proceedings
· of the Council at its meeting held on the 19th day of
February, 1973, and that same now be read a first time.
Councillor Mrs. J. L. McPherson, seconded by Councillor
D. Quick, moves that By-law Number q316/73 to confirm
the proceedings of the Council at its meeting held on
the 19th day of February, 1973, be now read a second
time and that Council go into Committee of the Whole
thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law
as read.
