COUNCIL MEETING
A meeting of the Pickering Town Council
was held on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 13th 1976

RESOLUTIONS
Resolution 141/76
Moved by Councillor Matheson, seconded by Councillor
Spratley that Resolution #130/76, Item #1 of the Executive
Committee Report dated August 23rd 1976, be amended
by adding thereto:
i)
Registration of the Draft Plan of Subdivision
and construction occurring within eighteen
months of Draft Approval of the subject Plan of
Subdivision/ or fullservic~:being available.
j)
Site location of all dwellings shall be submitted
to the Town of Pickering Planning Department
indicating the relationship of buildings by
blocks prior to the issuance of building permits.

Resolution 142/76
Moved by Councillor Anderson, seconded by Councillor
Spratley that the Regional tender of J & M. Tire Service
be accepted for the Supply, Retreading and Repair of
Tires and Tubes as recommended by the Town Buyer in
his memorandum dated September 9th 1976.

Resolution 143/76
Moved by Councillor Kitchen, seconded by Councillor
Anderson that the Co-op tender for the supply of
Sodium Chloride in the amount of $15.368/ton (including
tax) F.O.B. Depot, additional freight cost of $0.78/ton
from Canadian Salt Company Limited, be accepted, as
recommended by the Town Buyer in his memorandum
dated August 31st 1976.

Resolution 144/76
Moved by Councillor Robertson, seconded by Councillor
Spratley that the tender of Elirpa Construction and
Materials Limited be accepted for the Installation
of Road, Watermains, Storm and Sanitary Sewers in the
amount of $114,266.35, as recommended by the Director
of Public Works in his memorandum dated September 8th
1976.

BY-LAWS
By-Law Number 469/76
Councillor Anderson, seconded by Councillor Spratley
moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of
Pickering to authorize the execution of a Site Plan
Agreement between the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
and Karl H. Hartung relative to a Decision of the Land
Division Committee (LD 117/76) with respect to Lots 26
and 27, Plan 283, Town of Pickering and that same be
now read a first, second and third time and that the
same be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk
sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be
thereto affixed.
CARRIED
By-law read a first', second and third time and finally
passed.
By-law Number 470/76
Councillor Spratley, seconded by Councillor Robertson
moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of
Pickering to authorize the execution of a Site Plan
Agreement between the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering and Erwin Burchert relative to Land Division
Committee Decisions 114/76, 115/76 and 116/76, with
respect to Lots 28,29, 30 and 31, Plan 283, and that
same be now read a first, second and third time and
that the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor
and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the
Corporation be thereto affixed.
CARRIED
BY-law read a first, second and third time and finally
passed.
(III) OTHER BUSINESS
a)
Jaycee Week
The Mayor declared the week of September 19th 1976 as
Jaycee Week.
(IV)
ADJOURNMENT
Moved by Councillor Anderson, seconded by Councillor
Robertson that the meeting adjourn into Closed Session
at the hour of 9:55 p.m.
