BY-LAWS
By-Law
Number 389/76 - Third Reading
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as read.
Councillor Kitchen, seconded by Councillor Matheson moved
that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-låw Number
389/76 to amend restricted area by-law number 2511, as amended
(Frenchman's Bay) be adopted, and that the said By-law be now
read a Third Time and PASSED, that the Mayor and Clerk sign the
same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.
CARRIED
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed.

REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF APRIL 12th 1976

Moved by Councillor Matheson, seconded by Councillor
Kitchen that the recommendations of the Executive
Committee Report of April 12th 1976 Item #1 and #3 to
#14 be adopted.

AMENDMENT - Item #2 DIAL-A-BUS SYSTEM
Moved by Councillor Anderson, seconded by Councillor
Spratley that the following words be added after March 5th 1976:
" with the exception of item #3".

Recreation and Transportation contained in his report
of March 5th 1976, with the exception of item #3, with
respect to the operation of the Dial-a-Bus System be
adopted.

Moved by Councillor Spratley, seconded by Councillor
Robertson that the week of May 2nd to May 8th 1976
be proclaimed MENTAL HEALTH WEEK in the Town of Pickering.

Moved by Councillor Anderson, seconded by Councillor
Spratley that the tender of Westmetro Ford Equipment
Sales Limited be accepted for the supply of Tractor
and Cab for the Recreation Department in the amount of
$13,494.34.

BY-LAWS
By-Law Number 391/76
Councillor Searle, seconded by Councillor Matheson
moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of
Pickering to amend By-law Number 176/75 for the regulation
of traffic under the jurisdiction of the Town of Pickering
and that same be now read a first, second and third time
and that the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor
and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation
be thereto affixed.

passed.
By-Law Number 392/76
Councillor Robertson, seconded by Councillor Anderson
moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of
Pickering to authorize the execution of a Licence
Agreement between the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
and Gordon Thomas Bailey and Mildred Mary Anne Bailey
with respect to a building encroachment on the Town Road
Allowance in the Hamlet of Whiteva1e, and that same be
now read a first, second and third time, and that the
same be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk
sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be
thereto affixed.

By-Law Number 393/76
Councillor Spratley, seconded by Councillor Anderson
moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of
~ickering to authorize the execution of an Agreement
of Purchase and Sale between the Corporation of the Town
of Pickering and Charles Gordon Willson with respect to
premises being part Lot 31, Concession 4 in the Hamlet
of Whiteva1e, Town of Pickering, and that same be now
read a first, second and third time and that the same
be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk
sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be
thereto affixed.

By-Law Number 394/76
Councillor Anderson, seconded by Councillor Spratley
moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of
Pickering to authorize the execution of an agreement
between the Corporation of the Town of Pickering and
June Ellen Ross with respect to the dedication of lands
being part of Lot 139, Registered Plan 816, Town of
Pickering, and that same be now read a first, second
and third time, and that the same ,be now finally passed
and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that
the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed.

By-Law Number 395/76
Councillor Kitchen, seconded by Councillor Matheson
moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of
Pickering to authorize the execution of an agreement
between the Corporation of the Town of Pickering and
Howard Garfield Scott and Jean Doris Scott with respect
to certain lands and premises being part of Lot 27,
Plan 350, Town of Pickering, and that same be now read
a first, second and third time and that the same be now
finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the
same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto
affixed.

By-Law Number 396/76
Councillor Robertson, seconded by Councillor Spratley
moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of
Pickering to authorize the execution of a Site Plan
Agreement between the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
and Joseph A. Skapura, et al with respect to Block B,
Plan M-998, Town of Pickering, and that same be now read
a first, second and third time and that the same be now
finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the
same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto
affixed.
CARRIED

OTHER BUSINESS
1.
Knob Hill Farms
It was indicated that there is no sprinkler system at
Knob Hill Farms. The Fire Department is strongly suggesting
that a sprinkler system be installed.

Dunbarton Indoor Swimming Pool Hours
The hours for public swimming at the Dunbarton Indoor
Swimming Pool are to be discussed at the next Executive
Committee meeting.

OTHER BUSINESS (Continued)
Regional Traffic Committee Study
It was requested that a copy of the Regional Traffic
Committee Study be made available to members of Council.
Ontario Hydro - Simulated Emergency
The item of emergencies at the Ontario Hydro Power Plant
was discussed.
Brougham Public Library
The question was asked whether the Brougham Public Library
is to be closed. It was indicated that this is the intent
because of the low readership at this branch library.
(V) CONFIRMATION BY-LAW
By-Law Number 397/76
Councillor Matheson, seconded by Councillor Anderson
moved for leave to introduce a by-law of the Tbwn of
Pickering to confirm the proceedings of the Council of
the Corporation of the Tbwn of Pickering at its meetings
held on the 13th and 20th days of April 1976, and that
the same be<now read a first, second and third time and
that the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor
and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation
be thereto affixed.
