That the request of the Ontario Humane Society dated September 5th
1978 to hold a "tag day" on Saturday, September 30th 1978, be
approved.

BY-LAWS
councillor Robertson, seconded by councillor Cahill moved for
leave to introduce By-laws of the Town of pickering:
By-Law Number 892/78 - Two Readings Only
Being a By-law to stop up a part of Sideline 22 from Concession 3
Road north to the Canadian Pacific Railway right-of-way and to
authorize the sale thereof to the Municipality of Metropolitan
Toronto.
By-Law Number 893/78
Being a Restricted Area By-law to amend Restricted Area By-law 2511,
as amended, and to implement the Official Plan of the Town of
pickering.
THIRD READING
Councillor Robertson, seconded by Councillor Cahill moved that the
report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Number 893/78 be
adopted, and that the said By-law be now read a Third Time and
finally PASSED and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same, and
the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.
CARRIED
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed.

CONFIRMATION BY-LAW
By-Law Number 894/78
Councillor Cahill, seconded by Councillor Robertson moved for
leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering to confirm
the proceedings of the Council of the corporation of the Town
of Pickering at its meeting held on the 18th day of September 1978,
and that same be now read a first, second and third time and that
the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign
the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed.

The Planning Committee, having met September 12th 1978,
presents its third report to the Council of the Town of
Pickering and recommends:
MODIFICATION TO MINISTER'S ZONING ORDER
BY ROBERT H. GREEN ON BROCK ROAD, SOUTH
OF THE FOURTH CONCESSION.

That application M 16/78 by R. H. Green to modify the Minister's
Zoning Order with respect to lands being part of Lot 18,
Concession 3, to permit the construction of a residence on
a lot with 29.32 m (96.20 feet) frontage and 1.83 ha
(4.515 acres) lot area, be APPROVED, subject to the following
conditions:
1.
That the applicant enter into a satisfactory agreement
with the Town regarding the demolition of all existing
structures on the subject land.
2.

3.

3.
