COUNCIL MEETING
A Meeting of the Pickering Town Council
was held on MONDAY, JUNE 26th 1978, at
8:39 P.M.

RESOLUTIONS
REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING OF JUNE
26TH 1978

Resolution 80/78
Moved by Councillor Kitchen
Seconded by Councillor Geraghty
That the Executive Committee Report of June 26,
1978 be adopted.

Resolution 81/78
Moved by Councillor Fisher
Seconded By Councillor Geraghty
That the Letter of Credit held by the Treasurer with
respect to the performance & maintenance guarantees
for the Valley View Heights Subdivision be reduced
to $15,000.00, as recommended by the Director of
Public Works

Resolution 82/78
Moved by Councillor Cahill
Seconded by Councillor Matheson
That the Letter of Credit held by the Treasurer with
respect to the performance & maintenance guarantee
for the Spruce Hill Heights Subdivision be reduced
to $20,000.00, as recommended by the Director of
Public Works in his memorandum of June 19th 1978.

BY-LAWS
Councillor Cahill, seconded by Councillor Matheson
moved for leave to introduce By-laws of the Town
of Pickering:
By-law Number 845/78
To amend By-law Number 264/75 to establish the
speed limit on a portion of Concession 3 Road at
60 km/h.

BY-LAWS (Continued)
By-law Number 846/78
To authorize the execution of a Landfill Agreement
between the Corporation of the Town of pickering,
Town of Ajax, Regional Municipality of Durham and
Metropolitan Toronto.
THIRD READING
Councillor Cahill, seconded by Councillor Matheson
moved that the report of the Committee of the Whole
on By-law Numbers 845/78 and 846/78 be adopted,
and that the said By-laws be now read a Third Time
and PASSED, and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the
same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed
thereto.
CARRIED
By-laws read a first, second and third time and
finally passed.

CONFIRMATION BY-LAW
By-law Number 847/78
Councillor Matheson, seconded by Councillor Cahill
moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town
of Pickering to confirm the proceedings of the
Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
at its meeting held on the 26th day of June 1978,
and that same be now read a first, second and third
time and that the same be now finally passed and
that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the
Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed.
CARRIED

finally passed.
