SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
A Special Meeting of the Pickering Town Council was held on Monday,
January 25, 1988 at 7:30 p.m.

Pursuant to By-law 3714 (Procedural By-law), this Special Meeting was
called to consider two zoning applications.
m(i) DELEGATIONS
1. Mr. Heinz Raedisch addressed Council with respect to the
rezoning application submitted by D. and E. Adams. He
opposed the provision of a 2.4 metre side yard requirement
and will object to the Ontario Municipal Board if necessary
because it will reduce the developable footage of his
lands. He requested that Council reject the application or
that it be deferred until he meets with the property owner
to the south of his property regarding future development.

m2. George Martin, President, Greenwood Ratepayers Association,
addressed Council with respect to the rezoning application
submitted by J. Scavetta. He stated he had no objection to
the repair of four road vehicles on the property but
objected to a body repair shop use. He asked that the
property be controlled to ensure that a wrecking yard use
not be permitted.

That Zoning By-law Amendment Application A 45/87 submitted by D. and
E. Adams to change the dual zoning on lands being Part of Lot 25,
Plan 473, from "CI" - Local Commercial and "R4" in order to recognize
the existing residential use of the subject lands be APPROVED,
subject to the following condition:
1. That the existing "CI" - Local Commercial Zone side yard
requirements applicable to the southerly abutting lot
(being Lot 26, Plan 473), be amended to require a minimum
2.4 metre side yard where a Local Commercial Zone flanks a
Residential Zone, and that such side yard shall be set
aside for landscape purposes only.
