Information Report No. 01-15 <br /> Draft Plan of Subdivision Application SP-2014-03 <br /> Draft Plan of Condominium Application CP-2014-03 <br /> Zoning By-law Amendment Application A 10/14 <br /> Grand Communities (Pickering) Corporation <br /> 356-364 Kingston Road <br /> A public information meeting was held Under the Planning Act, for the purpose of <br /> informing the public with respect to the above-noted application. <br /> Nilesh Surti, Manager, Development Review & Urban Design, gave an outline of the <br /> requirements for a Statutory Meeting under the Planning Act. He outlined the <br /> notification process procedures and also noted that if a person or public body does <br /> not make oral or written submissions to the City before the by-law is passed, that <br /> person or public body are not entitled to appeal the decision of City Council to the <br /> Ontario Municipal Board, and may not be entitled to be added as a party to the <br /> hearing unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so. <br /> Ashley Yearwood, Planner II, provided a brief overview of Information Report <br /> No. 01-15 with respect to the proposed development of a common element <br /> condominium consisting of 28 three-storey townhouse units, accessible by a private <br /> road. <br /> Max Sherman, Macroplan Ltd., appeared before the Committee on behalf of the <br /> applicant in support of this application. Mr. Sherman provided an overview of the <br /> revised proposal and indicated that he would be available to respond to any <br /> questions raised. <br /> A brief question and answer period ensued. <br /> Anabela Santos, 1002 Dalewood Drive, appeared before the Committee in <br /> opposition to the application. Ms. Santos questioned the height of balconies and <br /> expressed her concerns with traffic lights and privacy. <br /> Tony Salvatore, 1006 Dalewood Drive, appeared before the Committee in opposition <br /> to the application. Mr. Salvatore expressed his concerns with increased traffic and <br /> suggested looking at the slope of driveways to reduce the height of the proposed <br /> buildings. <br /> Tzvetan Goguev, 1010 Dalewood Drive, appeared before the Committee in <br /> opposition to the application. Mr. Goguev expressed his concern with the view from <br /> his backyard and would like the City to consider alternatives to a brick wall. <br /> 2 <br />
