SCHEDULE (a) Maximum for each paper, 100. (b) Requirements to pass, 50 per cent. on each paper. (c) A blank space indicates that stand- ing is granted on a paper. (d) The entry of marks indicates that standing is not granted. (e) XX indicates a paper not taken. (f) In the case of a failure, if the paper has been re -read, " R " is entered after the marks. II XX French Grammar XX APPEALS A candidate who fails to make pass standing in a paper may have his answer paper re -read on making an appeal. The examination records show that in the great majority of cases it is useless to appeal. The fee for appeal, which will be returned if the appeal is sustained, is $2.00 per paper. The appeal should be addressed to the Deputy Minister of Education, Parliament Buildings, and should state the paper the candidate desires to have reconsidered and the centre at which he wrote. Teachers who undertake to enter appeals for their pupils should make the appeal for each candidate on a separate sheet of paper and submit therewith the prescribed fee. No appeal will be entertained after the first day of October. =&1 -02$-- On
