Home My WebLink AboutX2023-025-002A Lakeside Conimunity A Lakeside Community Over a century ago the Brown family came to Canada from a rural community in England known as Staxton Glen. They later settled in Pickering at the 5th Concession where they have lived and farmed for the past century. During that time, the area around them has changed considerably. The virgin forest, abundant wildlife, and the original forms of farming have become a part of history. The hill that used to be on the west side of the farm where the Brown family's original log cabin was situated was mined for gravel. In its place is a 22 acre lake, fed by underground springs and stocked with bass. The site is home for water fowl and other wild life. The Brown family has decided to recreate some of their memories of Staxton Glen. They have planned an intimate community of 30 homes surrounding the lake. Each home will be built to the exacting specifications of our clientele and will be an individual expression of the taste and dreams of our purchasers.
