LOUISE BARRIE, MINISTER PHONE: 649-1027 rr ,, :/ Since Monday, April 24th, our congregation has been newly formed as a pastoral charge in the United Church of Canada. We continue with the same name, but historic St. John's United church Brougham, has been closed by a decision of Oshawa Presbytery and we are no longer a two -point charge. At Claremont United Church all kinds of people gather in a special community of caring, worship and service. We come with our joys and sorrows, our successes and failures, and our faith and our doubts. Part of what brings us together is the desire to experience the presence of Jesus Christ, both in our community and in our own lives. All members, adherents and friends of the former joint charge now are welcomed within the Christian family of the new Claremont -Brougham Pastoral Charge. It is our sincere concern to make the transition as congenial and cordial as we can in this the Centennial year at Claremont United. Everyone is welcome tqI join in the life of Claremont United and veryone brings special qualities that make Claremont United unique. This is a time to recognize our shared roots and to share with others the bonds we have in our Christian fellowship. WORSHIP Worship is central to our community life.
