BillLishman, 35, is an acclaimed Canadian sculptor
whose works have been commissioned both locally and abroad. His
1972 Lunar Module pictured on the front, his Horse of 1967 and
The 1964 Ontario County Coat of Arms on The County Court
Building north of Whitby are known to many. He lives with his
wife Paula, a talented artist in her own right, and son Aaron
near Port Perry. Bill's works have a crisp reality that reflects
his thinking.

An artist In polltlCS: Why not? Most of our present politicians are attempting
to drive while looking in the rear view mirror. You don't have to be a professional politician to
see the problems that face us today. You know them. I know them. I want to do something about
them.
Communications expert Marshall McLuhan states "In a rapidly changing world the Artist
alone can see the present clearly enough to navigate."

Why elect the 1 DP: The Prime Minister has said that for the past 18 months
the N.D.P. have run the country. In the last letter from Norman Cafik, he says "Those 18 months
have been the most productive period in parliamentary history."
The N.D.P. have proven that they have the capabilities, but the major reason we should lead
the country is because of our basic philosophy... kdlb
People matter more that means the people of Canada mean more than profit
figures on a corporate yearly report. Take Japan for example. It is all too graphic to us how
successful Japan has been in the past few years. We are all taking pictures of Yamahas with
Yashica cameras while listening to our Sony stereo. And Japan has no resources. Only people.
People working together. Canada has the resources and the people.
The N.D.P. have the philosophy and the leadership qualities to bring Canada together
in the 70's.
IT'S TIME!
By gosh the price is...Wrong! Everywhere you look, the price is wrong.
Housing ... Food ... Fuel ...Etc.... Etc.
The price is wrong because we are tied to a Government that is in the pocket of the large
corporations. Only the N.D:P. have the freedom to implement the policies to solve these problems.
