The Crusader Development is the biggest t development in the township's long history. In years to come there ; p r- may be bigger developments, there is plenty of land yet to develop. y Many, many hours of study have gone into the agreement between _ the township and the developer. One figure stands out as having ,.• done a great deak to get the kind of agreement most benefical to the w> township, That figure is Reeve Sherman Scott. His council agreed a j to let him meet and talk with the developers and report back as the t agreement started to take shape. 1 F Changes are, still being made but it looks as though -the final' °, r chapter will be completed within a week, two at the most. Council' b appear agreed that the township has asked and got all it could hope for from the developer., It is reported that some people feel this land should be used solely 4 as . for industrial purposes. No one will argue but that this would be best. However it seems as though something like the Crusader ' Devdopment: plan is the only way to get services into the township, r i that in turn will attract some which will help increase the assessment. Pickering Township can't just sit back and wait much longer, hoping something big will drop in. It has to make the township attractive to industry by having serviced land and the Crusader plan is one way of getting started. Sha with : model of St. Georges Mrs. Geo.
