Some of the greatest influences towards evil and cringe are the presentation of plays descriptive • of crime at a certain class of thea- -' fres in the large cities, and the ieieseription of murders and burg, Aeries, with all their hideous de- tails which.so many newspapers Aiellight to publish in order that 'tbeir circulation may increase. it is impossible for young people '30 attend such theatres, or read lepers full of the details of some liiaarrible crime, without having their minds contaminated and :poisoned. The daily papers con- sinnally furnish examples of rssminals who can trace their down-fall to these evil influences.
