Just seven hours into their long- awaited vacation, Ms. St-Denis’ hus- band, son and youngest daughter were killed in the early morning hours Sat- urday when a suspected drunk driver travelling the wrong way on a Pennsyl- vania highway crashed head-on into their minivan. Roger, 52, daughter Angela Mi- chelle, 15, and son Paul, 21, were de- clared dead at the scene near Bedford, Penn., about 130 kilometres southeast of Pittsburgh. Ms. St-Denis, 52, and her 22-year-old daughter, Thérèse, escaped the wreck- age with minor injuries and were back at home Sunday. She spoke with the News Advertiser Wednesday. Mr. St-Denis worked for the Bank of Montreal and was a tireless volunteer in the community. He sang in a choir, ran the St. Vincent kitchen in Oshawa, and for more than five years worked with the victim crisis assistance refer- ral services with the Durham Regional Police Service. Ms. St-Denis, a teacher, volunteered with the service as well. The two were on call once a week to come to the aid of those in the community who were the victim of a crime or a disaster. Her training and experience has helped her deal with the events of the past few days. “We’ve been in this situation so many times when we’ve sat with peo- ple and we listened to them talk about their family,” Ms. St-Denis said. “This is not new to us, this is what we’ve been through with other people.” Maybe it is those experiences and training that has given her the ability to do what many wouldn’t in a similar situation, forgive the man who tore her family apart. “What’s the use of staying angry? What’s that going to get us?” the griev- ing mother said. “He’s a human being. He made a mistake. All I want now is that he never get behind the wheel of a car again.” Police said the St-Denis’ minivan was passing a tractor-trailer when a pickup driven by Jeremy Grimes, 23, travelling north in the southbound passing lane, slammed into them. Police issue warning about potential mortgage frauds DURHAM — Reports of suspicious phone calls have prompted Durham police to warn homeowners of a po- tential mortgage fraud scheme. According to investigators with the service’s fraud unit, a number of Durham residents have said they’ve received phone calls from someone who claims to be a bank employee, asking questions about homeowner mortgages. In instances where the homeown- er said there was no mortgage on the property the caller promptly hung up, police said. The concern is that the caller may have identified properties that are mortgage-free, creating the possibil- ity there will be an attempt made to illegally obtain mortgages on them, police said. Other similar calls have been reported throughout the GTA. In light of the reports, police are making a couple of recommenda- tions: first, that personal and finan- cial information not be divulged in such circumstances. As well, police advise homeown- ers to obtain mortgage insurance, which will cover them in the event a fraud is perpetrated on the prop- erty. The provincial government has passed legislation protecting hom- eowners from liability in cases of mortgage fraud but the extra mea- sure of insurance provides addition- al coverage, police said. Anyone who’s received a suspi- cious call regarding mortgages is asked to call Detective Katherine Denton at 905-579-1520, ext. 5281. To use buses more effectively, Dur- ham Student Transportation Services plans to adjust school bell times across the region. The proposed changes are part of a busing agreement between Durham’s public and Catholic school boards and would help integrate and streamline routes, allowing for cost savings. The Durham Catholic District School Board reviewed a report about the time shifts at its Dec. 18 meeting. “To me, that’s a reason our enrol- ment could go down,” said Oshawa Trustee Joe Corey, referring to time changes proposed for St. Christopher Catholic School in Oshawa. Angela’s husband Roger, and children, An- gela and Paul, were killed when a truck collided with their minivan on a U.S. interstate Saturday, Dec. 23. stead because of the bell adjustments. “Can I ask you a question,” said Whitby Trustee Mary Ann Martin, chairman of the Catholic board. “You think because of 10 minutes our enrolment is going to go down?” “I think so,” said Trustee Corey. He said the change could impact babysitting schedules. Trustee Corey asked what cost savings would be offered. Director of Education Patricia Manson said she was not yet sure, but could find out. In Ajax, the current bell times at St. Bernadette could go from 8:45 a.m. and 3:10 p.m. to 8:55 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Trustee Corey was also upset the transporta- tion consortium is making the final decision on bell changes. “I think we should have the comments from the people,” he said. Trustee Martin said the proposed changes are going out to the community. According to a report presented to the Catholic board, staff from Durham Transportation Ser- vices will ask school superintendents, principals, and school councils to make comments and sug- gestions within the next couple of months. After reviewing the submissions, the transportation group will report its findings to the board, as well as make the final decision. Principals will be made aware of any bell changes by April for distribution to the school community. Below are the proposed changes designed to do at least one of the following: use buses more effectively, integrate students from both boards, streamline transportation for high-traffic areas and produce savings. Cops alarmed at this year’s numbers By Jeff Mitchell Staff Writer DURHAM — Got $12,000 handy? That’s what it’s going to cost you if you’re busted for drinking and driving this holiday season, according to Dur- ham police. During a media event Friday morn- ing at the Oshawa police station, Dep- uty chief Mike Ewles stood beside a heap of cash totalling $12,000 piled on the bunk of a hold- ing cell to make his point. “We need to send the mes- sage home to drivers: If you get caught, you’re going to put $12,000 behind bars. “And you might end up behind bars yourself.” The $12,000 figure represents legal costs, transportation costs, higher in- surance premiums, the expense of in- stalling an ignition lock in your vehicle and other consequences of a drunk driving conviction. Durham police, alarmed at yet an- other year in which a high number of drunk drivers are being caught at Festive RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driv- ing Everywhere) stops, are stepping up their information campaign to help fight the problem. As of Dec. 18, almost 60 people had been arrested for drunk driving in four weeks of stepped-up RIDE enforce- ment, Deputy-Chief Ewles said. In addition, there have been six highway fatalities involving alcohol in 2006. “We’re really struggling with the numbers we have,” said the deputy-chief. Durham po- lice have shifted the focus of this year’s info campaign to concen- trate on the consequences of a drunk driving conviction, he said. “What we want to do is show drivers what are the ramifications of their ac- tions,” Deputy-Chief Ewles said. Police believe the driver was drinking before the crash. Mr. Grimes could face three counts of vehicular homi- cide. Ms. St-Denis said she is in touch with Pennsylvania police. But now, she’d rather talk about her wonderful husband and fan- tastic children. “We were the perfect family,” she said. If Mr. Denis was asked to do something, she said, he’d always lend a hand. “He always...he was a yes man,” she said. “He always said yes.” The position at St. Vincent’s was one that he just happened upon. “My husband was the last re- sort or else it would have closed,” she said. Not one to turn down a request for help, he came to the rescue with Ms. St-Denis serving as cook and the kids helping out as well. Her husband needed very little sleep to get by, she said, he was a “g o, go, go” kind of person. With their busy work schedules and heavy volunteer and church work, the family hadn’t had a real vacation together in about 10 years, she said. Thérèse is an engineering student at Queen’s University; Paul was in comput- ers at Seneca College; and Angela was in Grade 10 at Étienne Brûlé School. The family set out from their Pickering home about 8:30 p.m. Friday with Paul driving, on what was to be a two-week vacation – one week in Florida visiting relatives and another on a cruise ship with stops in Bermuda and Mexico. For the last several years the St- Denis family were also full-time caregivers to an elderly relative who lived with them until she passed away earlier this year. “We needed to get away,” Ms. St-Denis said. The family stopped about 3 a.m. to get something to eat, and then Mr. St-Denis took over at the wheel from Paul because he likes driving at night. Ms. St-Denis said she was dozing off in back of the van when a loud noise “like a shotgun or an explosion of some sort” jolted her awake. “The car was just spinning,” she recalled, “and then it came to a stop. I looked over and my daughter had been thrown out of the car. “I was going between my hus- band, my daughter and my son,” she said. “They weren’t moving, there were no signs of life.” Although all family members were wearing seat belts and the airbags had deployed, the vio- lence of the impact left at least one of the van’s occupants in the road. “I saw my daughter lying in the middle of the road,” Ms. St-Denis said, “so I brought her to the side and I saw she had a big gash on the side of her head. “I went to see if she had a pulse, I thought she had a bit of a pulse.” Then, she added, “a lady came over and said ‘I’m a nurse’,” and she said, `Step back,’ and she checked for a pulse, and 10 sec- onds later she said she was gone.” Visitation will be held at High- land Funeral Home, 3280 Shep- pard Ave. E, on Jan. 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Jan. 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. The family funeral takes place at 11 a.m. on Jan. 3 at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 1148 Finch Ave. With files from Torstar Network Visit us at www.surefit.ca BOXING WEEKBIG sale SURE FIT ANNUAL up to BUY DIRECT FROM THE FACTORY! EDITORIALS & OPINIONS infodurhamregion.com LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Voting a privilege and responsibility To the editor: Re: ‘Voting is optional’, Nov. 29 letter by Lisa Frederick. It is precisely because peo- ple do not vote that we end up with some politicians who are less than desirable. When just over 20 per cent of eligible voters take the time to vote in a municipal election, it is glaringly obvi- ous that many people don’t care, but they like to com- plain when things don’t go well. There are many good and capable people around who would be willing to serve their community in an offi- cial capacity. However, eligible voters must take the time to be in- formed and actively involved in politics on an ongoing basis in order to be able to chose suitable and compe- tent people at election time. When more citizens are ac- tively involved in the political process, it is easier to weed out the undesirable candi- dates and produce a better crop of representatives who will then more accurately re- flect the wishes of the major- ity of people. Nothing keeps politicians more on their toes than when they know that their con- stituents are involved in the process and watching their performance. The next election is always just around the corner. Ye s, voting is optional, but it is also one of the most im- portant privileges as well as responsibilities in a free and democratic society. It is very easy for democ- racy to slip away when people aren’t watching. Renate Roy Ajax Reader ‘truly disappointed in our political system’ To the editor: We are reading about a constantly dropping voter turnout! My wife and some people coming to Canada 50 years ago May 1 have voted at every election we were allowed to and we’ve spent the last 38 years in Ajax. I read in your paper some time ago how determined and hard Roger Anderson works and that he always gets what he is after. I for one would like to know the names of the Regional councillors who voted for or against having the Regional chairperson elected by the people. After all, how do we know who to vote for in four years to get our wishes taken into consideration. I’m truly disappointed in our political system and the way the taxpayer is disregard- ed and expected to pay the bills our elected representa- tives spend the taxes for. They will be united giving themselves a tremendous pay increase and do they know how we as seniors can make ends meet on government pensions? I’m sure they could not care less. St ay in school bill is necessary T he Province has taken a carrot-and-stick approach in its effort to boost learning and improve the high school graduation rate for Ontario’s young people. At the present time, thousands of youth take a no-more- teachers, no-more-books approach to life at the tender age of 16. By quitting school at the earliest possible opportunity, these teenagers are closing the doors of opportunity to a better fu- ture. They are also likely to become a drain on society going for- ward as they will find it difficult to get a job that pays the bills, never mind finding a fulfilling career. To that end, the Province has passed Learning to 18 legisla- tion that requires students to attend high school until they reach age 18 or graduate. Those who don’t stick it out could face the unpleasant prospect of having their driver’s licence lifted. While the licence prohibition is the stick, the carrot is in- creased opportunity for students to learn outside the classroom in programs approved by the Ministry of Education. The Ministry is also taking the view that many teens don’t really know what is in their own best long-term interest. Think of the legislation then as providing something that is good for a young person as he moves forward into the world of post-sec- ondary education and employment. Some non-typical programs to help students keep learn- ing would include apprenticeship training or post-secondary courses that could be applied toward a high school graduation diploma. Whatever is necessary is the key to keeping young people learning so they can embrace any and all opportunities. There is plenty at stake for society at large. In an increasingly globalized world where trade crosses bor- ders and knowledge is power, those nations that are best edu- cated and trained and most productive, will succeed. To do so, Ontario will have to push to make sure most young people graduate and get the training needed to fill the jobs of the 21st century. It’s an all-encompassing job that is crucial to our future com- petitiveness. The Province is committed to raising the graduation rate to 85 per cent by 2010, up from 71 per cent in 2004-05. It’s an ambi- tious goal, but at least the commitment is now there in legisla- tion to make it a possible reality. submitted photo Next stop, the oven Ontario Power Generation employees Olwen Gover, Tom Smart and Jacquie McInnes check out turkeys to be distributed through the North Pickering Community Food Drive. In addition to turkeys, OPG employ- ees at various Pickering sites donated thousands of dollars worth of unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items to the Durham Regional Police Service annual food and toy drive. Employees donated almost $9,000 more in cash during a one-day gate collection for the Million Penny Toy Drive and Pickering Nuclear finished off the efforts with another $6,500 in donations to local charities. Blame it on global warming, clear-cutting of the rainforest or even the French if you want to, but I don’t think anybody will argue that things, for what- ever reason, are more tem- perate than they have been in some time. And frankly I really don’t care who’s responsible. I’m not a blamer. I’m not looking to blame anyone or anything for this meteorologi- cal anomaly. To me that’s a huge waste of time. The di- nosaurs were blamers and look what happened to them. Slouching around the tar pits grousing about how damn cold it was instead of maybe evolv- ing a little, learning how to knit a sweater. Not me. I’m work- ing on adapting and surviving, because I don’t think this heat wave’s going away anytime soon. To that end, I’ve got a list of activities planned for the fam- ily that I am hoping will make this temperate Christmas holi- day a still enjoyable one. For instance, the boys and I will be busy making “Dirt Men” in the backyard. Maybe we’ll throw together a “Dirt fort” and have a good old-fashioned, no- holds-barred “dirtball fight.” Oh won’t their mother think us a sight when we come in the house laughing and shak- ing the mud off. And of course we’ll all get out for a little “dirt- boarding,” “sod-shoeing” and some vigorous “Cross Country- scraping” It’ll be a hoot. We’re inviting the whole neighborhood over for a Box- ing Day water polo party. Yo u’ve not lived until you’ve swum under the stars in a win- ter sky. Afterwards the gang will gather around the old air-con- ditioner for carols, shortbread cookies and Gatorade-Nog. Around midnight we’ll hitch up the team and head out for a good old-fashioned coun- try sleigh drag. Remember to bring lots of repellent though, the bugs can be bad this time of year. Of course, these days, one must take precautions when venturing out of doors. Be sure to wear a hat with a good brim and plenty of sunblock. Noth- ing ruins the holidays faster than a Christmas sunburn or a bad case of Yule stroke. It’s always important, dur- ing the holiday season, to think of the less fortunate, those in need and the elderly. Which is why, in our family, we encour- age the boys to give back a little. They may grouse about it ini- tially but they always feel terrif- ic when they return from help- ing old Mrs. Simmons with her winter raking or from assisting lonely old Mr. Henderson in and out of his hammock or from donating used swimwear to the homeless. That’s what Christmas is all about as far as I am concerned. And really, it’s the spirit of the thing anyway that we need to hang on to. As the climate changes and the planet morphs, we must evolve as well or suffer the fate of those lazy dinosaurs. Let’s not get hung up about having to hang up Christmas sandals instead of stockings or get all bent out of shape when we see nativity sets with the Magi wearing Ray-bans and Bermuda shorts. That stuff is not important. What’s critical is continuing as a species. I don’t want to be around to sing “The Last Noel.” Durham resident Neil Crone, actor-comic-writer, saves some of his best lines for his columns. Fo llow Neil’s BLOG drinfo.ca/croneblog.html. Unfortunately, their families are often victims as well. Alcohol and fire are a dangerous mix. A lit cigarette dropped on the couch or a forgotten pan of grease on the stove could mean disaster for you and your family. If someone in your household cooks or smokes while intoxicated, you must be aware of the risk. Durham Region has planned some changes to waste pickup during the festive season. “Residents may see an increase in the number of recyclables in their homes this holiday season,” said Peter Watson, manager of waste manage- ment at Durham’s works department. “If the Blue Box becomes full, these items may also be placed in a cardboard box and left for curbside collection to accommodate the overflow of materials.” Residents are also asked to remove all decora- tions, wire and tinsel from Christmas trees before placing them on the curb in plain view. Trees set out in plastic bags will not be collected. For more information, or to download each municipality’s respective collection calendar, visit www.region.durham.on.ca/waste. In Whitby and Oshawa visit those municipalities’ respective websites. The schedule is as follows: To wn of Ajax - Garbage collection regularly scheduled for Dec. 26 is rescheduled to Dec. 30 - Blue boxes and green bins will be collected on Jan. 2 - Christmas tree collection is on Jan. 2 to 5 and 9 to 12 to coincide with residents’ regular collec- tion day City of Pickering - Blue box and green bin regularly scheduled for pickup on Dec. 26 will be collected on Jan. 2 (there is no garbage collection scheduled for this week) - Christmas tree collection is Jan. 2 to 5 and 9 to 12 to coincide with residents’ regular collection day . We all know that New Year’s Eve is the time for people to meet, greet and, celebrate the year past and the new year ahead. But did you also know that, in the past, some people have chosen to get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle after they have had a few too many drinks with tragic consequences? Between 1998 and December 2006, drunk drivers in motor vehicle crashes in the Durham Region have killed 52 people. This compares to only 42 people who have died in homicides in Durham Region during this same time period. In other words, alcohol consumption and drunk driving has killed more people in Durham Region in the last nine years than all the homicides combined! As a result, the Durham Regional Police will be out there Celebrate the New Year Safely: “Choose Your Ride” …And Ensure You Arrive Alive on R.I.D.E. enforcement during this New Year’s Eve festive season looking for impaired drivers. The better option, of course, then being caught at a R.I.D.E. spot check after consuming alcohol is to make the right decision and “Choose Your Ride”. Call a taxi, use “Keys To Us”, or call a friend or loved one to take you home safely after a night of celebration this New Year’s Eve. A few dollars spent wisely to get home safely ensures that you will see your loved ones and friends for years to come. On behalf of all the members of the Durham Regional Police Service, we are asking that everyone please drink responsibly, and make the right choice this New Year’s holiday season. Stepping into 2007 fi nds the volunteers with the Durham Region Chapter continually working to support the mission of MADD Canada. To Stop Impaired Driving and Support Victims of this Violent Crime. Your donations and support to the chapter stay within our region and are used to carryout the mission statement. The roadways of Durham Region continue to host IMPAIRED DRIVERS and with your help we can reduce the number of crashes. The Monarchs are headed to Florida, beginning on Dec. 28, for a full week of hockey, sightseeing and, of course, sunrays in Fort Myers and Orlando. Most important, the St. Mary squad will be one of the few Canadian teams to compete at the seventh annual Flor- ida Holiday Invitational Tournament in Fort Myers. St. Mary head coach Mike Dion noted his search for a holiday tourna- ment, as well as a unique hockey expe- rience for his players, led him directly to the Sunshine State. “We were looking to do a good tour- nament over Christmas and found a tournament in Florida that was pretty big. I made some calls and we found they had no problem taking a high school team, so we went forward with it.” The Monarchs will compete against midget-age teams as well as some U.S. prep (high school) squads in the tour- nament that’s organized by the Florida Everblades hockey organization. “I think it’s ‘AAA’ calibre, so we’ll be in tough,” says Dion. St. Mary will skate in the five-team midget under-18 division against the Junior Everblades of Florida, the Palm Beach Ice Hawks of Florida, Team Raiders of Florida and the Tri City Eagles of Maryland. The Monarchs will take 16 players and two coaches on the Florida trip. In addition to the tournament, the Pickering entourage will spend three days in Orlando where they plan to pay Mickey Mouse a visit at Disney World. “The kids are really excited. We re- ally wanted to put together an experi- ence that no other hockey team can offer and I think we’ve done a good job of that,” says Dion. He adds this year’s Monarchs squad is young with a lot of speed up front. Dion says the team has received out- standing goaltending thus far in the season from the tandem of Eric Nott- beck and Joe Kozovki. So far, in Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletics (LOSSA) league play, the St. Mary Monarchs have taken its customary perch at the top of the league’s West Division. The Monarchs currently own a solid 14-7-3 overall record and is currently ranked third in the weekly GTA poll of high school senior hockey teams. At the recent Carter Cup tournament in North Bay, the Monarchs came back with the championship, beating two of the school’s in the top 5 teams in the province. In the semifinal, St. Mary de- feated Mount Carmel of Mississauga 2- 1 and, in the final, edged Notre Dame of Burlington 2-1. The Monarchs are headed to Florida, start- ing today, for a week over the Christmas break. They’ll play in the seventh annual Florida Holiday Invitational Tournament in Fort Myers. The team’s 16 players and two coaches are also slated to spend a few days in Orlando, where they’ll visit Disney World. Ajax juniors waxed by Markham; Pickering clobbered by Canadians DURHAM — Ajax and Pickering junior ‘A’ hockey league teams ended league action before the Christmas break with a resounding thud. The Ajax Attack were blitzed 8-2 by the visiting Markham Waxers at the Ajax Community Centre last Satur- day. Meanwhile, the Pickering Pan- thers were thumped by the Toronto Junior Canadians 9-3 at Toronto’s Chesswood Arena, also last Saturday. The upshot for the Attack (10-24- 1-1 for 22 points) is they’re still in last place in the OHA Ontario Provin- cial Junior ‘A’ Hockey League’s South Conference, trailing the seventh- place Durham Fury by two points. Meanwhile, the Panthers’ (22-14- 2-0 for 46 points) loss to the Junior Canadians allowed Toronto (20-11- 4-2) to climb into a fourth-place tie with Pickering in the South Confer- ence standings. The second period of Saturday’s Markham-Ajax game was the undo- ing of the Attack. Markham scored four unanswered goals in the frame to take a commanding 6-1 lead to the dressing room for the second in- termission. Markham outscored Ajax 2-1 in the final frame. Chris Gelencser scored his first goal in an Attack uniform since com- ing over in a trade with Bramalea last month. Adam Place also scored. Meanwhile, the Panthers were blitzed for six consecutive Canadi- ans’ goals through the first period and into the opening six minutes of the second period. Pickering starting goaltender Brad Fogal was lifted in favour of backup Connor Sampson after the fifth Toronto goal. The goaltending change seemed to spur the Panthers as they scored the next three goals of the second period. The momentum shift was short-lived, however, as the Canadians responded at the 47 second mark of the third pe- riod with an unassisted short-handed goal by Kyle Wetering, a Pickering native. The Canadians went on to score two power-play goals late in the period to post the victory. Panthers’ captain Richard Scho- field had a two-goal night; Scott Brown had the other marker. Chris Dunham added two assists. The Panthers started the pre- Christmas weekend action with an emphatic 13-4 victory over the Dur- ham Fury at the Pickering Recreation Complex last Friday night. The big win was a little payback for the Fury’s 3-2 win over Pickering three days be- fore. Dan Mandel and Phil McIlhone paced the Panthers’ attack with a hat trick apiece. Schofield scored twice, with Kory Helowka, Brendan Hann, Cody Smith, Jamie MacQueen and Matt Rigtrup each netting single markers. The Attack face the same Waxers’ squad in the first game of the new year at Markham’s Centennial Arena on Friday, Jan. 5. The Panthers also hit the ice for the first time in 2007 on Jan. 5 against the Stouffville Spirit at the Pickering Recreation Complex at 7:30 p.m. SCORING SUMMARY Attack at Markham Waxers Period 1 Ajax - Chris Gelencser (Shane Heffer- nan) 5:30 Markham - Claudio Cowdrey (Matthew Meszaros) 7:34 Markham - JoJo Bojanowski (Chris Eyles) 13:19 Period 2 Markham - Mark Cornacchia (Cody Hamilton, Kyle Russell) 6:38 Markham - Claudio Cowdrey (Matthew Meszaros, Dean Shanks) 7:53 Markham - Claudio Cowdrey (Alex Til- laart, Kyle Russell) 11:41 Markham - Giancarlo Iuorio (Mark Cor- nacchia, Cody Hamilton) 14:49 Period 3 Ajax - Adam Place (powerplay) (Chris Gelencser, Nick LeBouthillier) 0:57 Markham - David Kostuch (Michael Scheu, Alex Tillaart) 4:08 Markham - Claudio Cowdrey (Ryan Carey, Matthew Meszaros) 10:06 SCORING SUMMARY Panthers at Toronto Junior Canadians Period 1 To r onto - Kyle Ventura (Carson Devine, Alan Reynolds) 0:59 To r onto - Reed Smith (powerplay) (unas- sisted) 9:48 To r onto - Brendan Soley (Alex Paiement, Shawn Crozier) 18:08 Period 2 To r onto - Kelly Jackson (Derek Patskou) 3:49 To r onto - Kyle Wetering (unassisted) 4:01 To r onto - Stefan Smith (shorthanded) (unassisted) 5:55 Pickering - Scott Brown (powerplay) (Jesse Hebscher, Kory Helowka) 12:53 Pickering - Richard Schofield (Chris Dun- ham) 14:51 Pickering - Richard Schofield (Jesse Hebscher, Chris Dunham) 17:03 Period 3 To r onto - Kyle Wetering (shorthanded) (Stefan Smith) 0:47 To r onto - Brent Tamane (powerplay) (Kyle Ventura, Brandon Andrade) 16:48 To r onto - Carson Devine (powerplay) (Derek Patskou, Troy Harris) 18:13.
