1899. James was a blacksmith by trade. Married Martha Thompson who was born in
Antrim, Ireland in 1821 and died February 15, 1899. Both James and Martha are buried
in Bringham [Handwritten: ""sp. Brougham""], Ontario Canada. They had nine children.

Marjorie worked in the Madison County Court House and for Union State Bank
until her retirement in Winterset, Iowa.
b. PAULINE FREY (4) born on February 24, 1912, died on June 17, 1988 of
cancer. Married Wayne Newton (5/19/11 - 1/19/1981) on May 25, 1941.
Wayne was a hog buyer by trade. He was elected mayor of Winterset in the 1960's.
Pauline and Wayne were both heavy smokers most of their adult lives..both died of
cancer. They raised three sons.
(1) Robert Newton (5) born in Madison County, Iowa on March 14, 1942. Married
Elaine Brown (2/18/42) on June 7, 1964 at Winterset, IA. Robert is a veterinarian;
Elaine a retired physical education instructor. They raised three daughters.
They currently live in Winterset, IA.

7. JAMES SUMMERVILLE JACKSON (3) born in Seneca, Illinois on May 10, 1889.
Married Myrtle Mae Russell (8/24/1891 - 6/2/1984) on July 8, 1908 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Myrtle was the only child of Margurite Steward and Horace Hart Russell, born in Villisca,
Iowa. Jim and Myrtle farmed near Winterset for about six years before moving to
Harrold, SD. In about 1920, Jim & Myrtle bought a farm northeast of Firesteel, SD.
Jim farmed and raised livestock all his life time. He and Myrtle moved to Mobridge,
SD in 1945. Jim died of a coronary thrombosis on April 7, 1949 at home.
Myrtle lived to be nearly 93 years of age. Both are buried in the Greenwood Cemetery,
Mobridge, SD. They raised eight children, all born at home with a doctor in attendance.
a. DOROTHY PAULENE JACKSON (4) born in Winterset, Iowa on July 9, 1909.
Married Paul Fredrick Ehrenberg (8/25/01 - 8/11/67) on October 27, 1929 at the old
Norwegian Lutheran Church north of Firesteel. Paul worked in automobile sales in his
younger life until they built a Mobilehome Court in east Mobridge. Dorothy attended
business college in Aberdeen South Dakota. She was a bookkeeper for an automobile
dealership and the Mobridge Hospital until her retirement. She sold her property in
Mobridge in early September 1986 and moved to Wenatchee, Washington to live near
three of her children. Dorothy died of a massive heart attack on September 24, 1986.
She is buried in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wenatchee,. WA. Paul's remains were
exhumed from Mobridge and moved to the same cemetery in Washington state in 1987.

John worked for the telephone company, then joined the U.S. military. Both John and
the oldest child, Gary, drowned while on an ice fishing trip at a reservoir in Colorado
during January 1969. Marge & John had four children.

attending the University of Colorado on a honor scholarship at the time of his death.

in Colorado. Larry is a financial consultant for land development in the Laguna Niguel,
California area where they reside.

(c) Paulette Marie Senger (6) born in Temple, Texas on March 27, 1958. Paulette was
born with a defective heart and lived until the age of six when she underwent
open-heart surgery and failed to recover from the surgery. Paulette died on
July 3, 1964 while in the hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. Johnny,
Gary and Paulette are all buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs.

and worked as a mechanic until 1962 when he resigned and joined the Aviation
Department with Wycliffe Bible Institute and became a bush pilot/mechanic.
He and his family lived in Columbia, South American for several years while he
was a Bible translator and bush pilot. In 1976, he returned to the U.S. and has been
involved in various administrative roles with JAARS.

Married Emil Ostrom (6/15/07 - 7/2/83) on October 16, 1930 at Selby, SD. They lived on
a farm in Corson County, SD until Emil purchased the International Harvestor dealership
in Timber Lake, SD. Helen and Emil divorced on July 10, 1963. Emil moved to Gallup,
NM. While there, he suffered a crippling stroke, he moved back to Timber Lake and
resided until his death. He is buried in the old Norwegian Lutheran Church Cemetery,
north of Firesteel. Helen married #2 Ray Nordlund (April 20, 1911) on January 29, 1972
in Pt. Charlotte, Florida. They lived in Florida and Cross Lake, Minnesota. Ray was
accidently electrocuted while working on his boat dock on July 6, 1973. He was a retired
civil engineer for Wright-Patton Air Force Base. Helen currently remains in Florida,
having given up possession of the big home on October 1, 1988 and moved into a new
apartment complex.

Married Wayne Schlosser (6/19/30 - 4/6/88) on September 5, 1952. Wayne owned and
operated a plumbing and ditching business in Timber Lake, SD. Wayne was born at Old
Cheyenne Agency and died enroute to the Mobridge Hospital after collapsing at the
scene of a prairie fire on April 6, 1988. Beverly is currently Magistrate Judge in Dewey
County and bookkeeper for the Schlosser business.

Harold graduated from high school at Timber Lake, SD. He married Rosella Mae
Smith (9/17/26) on April 26, 1943 in the Methodist Church at Timber Lake,
SD. Harold farmed and raised livestock most of his earlier life, living on the family
farm. In about 1975, he and Rosella moved to Mobridge and bought the Wrangler
Motel which they later remodeled. IN about 1977, they purchased a drive-in next to the
motel and remodeled it into the Wheel Restaurant. In 1987, they added a lounge,
The Windjammer, above the motel office. Harold and Rosella and some of their
family have formed the Jackson Enterprises in Mobridge and work together in this
endeavor.

Laura Reiger (3/16/30) in the Congregational Church at Mobridge on
January 19, 1947. Don farmed northwest of Glenham SD until 1971 when they moved
into Mobridge. He has worked as a sales representative for a farm supply company
and is currently retired. Laura had both lung and heart surgery. Following heart surgery,
she experienced a stroke which has left her partially paralized and also has"

affected her speech. Don suffered a heart attack on September 20, 1988,
was flown to Bismarck, ND for triple heart by-pass surgery on September 28.
He was discharged from Med Center One on October 19, 1988. Don and Laurie
purchased a ""winter home"" in Harlingen, Texas in the spring of 1988.
They raised three sons.

representative for a farm supply company and currently owns and operates an
antique shop on the east edge of Mobridge. Jim and Donna purchased land in
LaFeria, Texas in 1986 and moved a 5th-wheeler down there. They built a small
cement block ""guest house"" on the property and reside in Texas about three
months each winter. Jim broke his leg (at the knee) while working on his acerage in
Texas in the winter of 1986-87.

and attended Wayne State College. Currently she is Secretary to the Dean of Students,
Wayne State College. Gene's home was Colome, SD. He is a graduate of Colome
High School, Huron College, South Dakota State University and has a Doctorate from
the University of South Dakota. He has taught high school, coached and been
Superintendent of Schools before moving to Wayne, NE in 1969 where is is currently
a full professor in the Division of Education/Psychology. Carolyn & Gene owned and
operated a large drive-in restaurant in Mobridge from 1960-66. They raised two

out of Aberdeen, SD. Later he managed a Montgomery Ward Catalog Store in
Mobridge, worked for Milwaukee, Chicago, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad and together,
he and Mary Lou ran a florist shop for awhile. Mary Lou worked in Larson Jewelry
store in Mobridge for several years. Wes took jewelers training in North Dakota,
then later worked in that capacity at the Gibson Department store in Rapid City,
SD where they moved in 1969. In 1970, Wes and Mary Lou both went to work for the
Mountain Company (Mt. Rushmore). At this time, they moved to Keystone, SD.
They continued employment with the Mt. Company for 12 years. In 1982,
they bought a tract of land east of Keystone on which they developed a homestead.
Both Mary Lou and Wes currently work in Rapid City and commute to work daily.
Mary Lou works for Landstroms Black Hills Gold Co. and Wes is employed by the

William Henry Jackson (2) was the eighth child of James and Martha Jackson,
he was born on the 4th Conc, of Pickering. He was a blacksmith and carriage maker
and ran his business at the 4th Conc, on the Brock Rd. He and his wife Evailne Rodd
lived all their married life at this location. For many years they ran a store,
and the Brock Road post office. The had six children.
1. Stanley Rodd Jackson (3) born April 26,1890 - died December 4,1891.
2. Lillian Susan Jackson (3) born 1893 died 1895.
3. William Archibald (3) born October 15, 1895 and died September 12, 1988.
Arch was a banker with C.B.C. for many years and was the manager at the branch in
Parkhill when he retired. He married Lillian Johnson (12/8/1899 - 9/9/1987) on October
22,1921. Arch served in the 1st World War as an instructor in the RCAF.
They had one daughter Shirley. Both Arch and Lillian are buried in the Union Cemetery,
Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, (40 miles east of Toronto on Highway #2).

4. Franklin Richard Jackson (3) born October 5/1897 at the family home on the Brock
Road in Pickering Twp. He trained in the Hardware business with Mr. Miles Chapman
in Pickering Village and after serving overseas in the 1st Great War he worked for many
years in the wholesale hardware business in Toronto. He married Elsie Bisbee
(8/29/1904) on June 5, 1926. They raised three children.
Frank died March 16, 1936 and is buried in Caistorville Cemetery, the other side of
Hamilton. They were living at Canfield at the time of his death, a ruptured appendix.

Ontario and Chicago. Married (1953) Grover Leonard Seitzinger M.D.
June and Grover live on Logan Terrace II in Danville, ILL., and Grover has been the
Head of Pathology in Danville's Hospital for many years. He is now retired.

(2) Elizabeth Mary Cherniak(5) born August 26, 1959 married Gordon L. Imloch
October 7,1989, live at 76 Taylor Way, Airdrie, Alta. Both children were born in
England while Eugene was taking his Ph.D. at Leeds University. Eugene later became
a professor at Brock University. They now live at 158 Parkway Dr., Welland. Ontario.

6. Walter Henry Jackson (3) ""PETE"" born July 7, 1905. Married Irene Lillian
Britnell on August 17, 1933. Raised three daughters. Irene and Pete lived together in
Islington for 60 years. Irene died February 20, 1994 and her ashes are buried in
Brougham Cemetery. Irene and Peter first met on the steps of the church which was
located at the cemetery. Pete taught high school in Etobicoke for forty years,
serving as a math teacher, coach, dept head vice-principal and principal.
(a) Judith Elizabeth Jackson (4) born July 6th, 1937. Married Alan David Shiels
(12/25/1940) on July 4th, 1964. Judy was a teacher and Alan is a vice principal in
Etobicoke, Ontario. They have no children. Judy and Alan live at 96 Burnhamthorpe
