"Dominion of Canada County of Ontario In the Matter of the title of the South half of the North half of Lot Number Twenty-one in the Fourth Concession of the Township of Pickering in the County of Ontario. John Bathurst Burk of the Township of Pickering in the County of Ontario, Yeoman/ Do solemnly Declare, That I was well acquainted with David Wismer Witter and I know that on the Tenth day of October, 1874, he was an unmarried man. I am also well acquainted with William Witter, and I know that on the Twenty-seventh day of August 1875, he was, and in face he still is, an unmarried man. I am well acquainted with Sarah Winder. Her maiden name was Sarah Witter. Her first husband was a man named Miller, and her second husband was a man named Winger. She is now a widow. I was also well acquainted with Lydia Witter, widow of the late William Witter. She is now dead about six or seven years. I have been in the quiet, peaceable and undisturbed possession of the said premises for the last sixteen years, and there are no claims to the said property adverse to my own, and I am now the absolute owner in fee simple of the said premises. All taxes due on the said premises have been fully paid and satisfied and there are no executions in the Sheriff’s hands against me. And I make this solemn Declaration conscientiously believing it to be true and knowing that it is of the same force and effect as if made under oath and by the virtue of The Canada ____ __ 1893.
