Mr. Joseph Gordon Sr., passed away Thursday morning after brief illness.
Early- Thursday morning Mr. Joseph Gordon sr., died at his residence aged 73 years.
A few weeks ago he was attacked with la grippe and it soon lodged in his lungs and
he weakened until death released him. Mr. Gordon was an old resident of this township,
of a quiet, retiring disposition. He leaves a widow and a family of three sons and three
daughters to mourn his departure. Two of the daughters and one son are married,
Mrs. C. E. Marquis, Mrs. Geo. Leng and Mr. James Gordon of the Gordon House.
The funeral will occur from the late residence to the Methodist burial ground on
Saturday at 2 p.m., and will undoubtedly be largely attended by friends and acquaintances."
