refers to Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sleep.
Was it a U.F.O. hovering over the hydro lines just south of Knob Hill store one night last
week?
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sleep of Brock Road have been wondering about it ever since they
sighted the strange-looking object.
Mrs. Sleep said they were driving east from Sheridan Mall, when they spotted this huge
object hovering about 600 feet over the hydro lines just south of No. 2 Highway.
They pulled to the side of the road and watched it for several minutes.
""It had different coloured flashing lights all over it, and we were surprised that no other cars
stopped to look at it,"" Mrs. Sleep said.
She said the object stayed in one place and did not move. They watched for several minutes,
then drove home. They looked out a few minutes later and the strange object was moving in a
westerly direction towards Metro.
Mrs. Sleep said they could see the object very clearly and there didn't appear to be any noise
coming from it.
There have been several U.F.O. sightings in the Pickering area within the past six months,
but this one apparently presented the best opportunity for fairly close observation.
