The statement that Mr. Aickin intends to retire from the farm is incorrect. There was no Sabbath school last Sunday on account of the funeral of the late Mrs. Knox. J.H Kayes goes this week to the town of Arthur for medical treatment. His family at present are all sick. M. D Worden and others from here attended the Sherlock male quartette entertainment as Whitevale on Monday evening. A young gentleman from Green River called at the Brock Road P.O. Monday evening in search of Mayflowers. Who ever saw Mayflowers in February. Daises were not in demand. On Friday last there passed away, one in the oldest of residents in the country of Ontario, in the person of Mrs. Alexander Knox, at the ripe old age of 93 years and 6 months. She had been a resident of this locality from the time when it was a vast wilderness, during which period she has witnessed many changes. Her funeral took place last Sunday when friends and acquaintances from far and near were there to pay their last tribute of respect to the departed. The bereaved friends have the sympathy of all in their sorrow. "
