The marriage of William Thom, of Dunbarton, to Miss Jane Laskey, took place at the residence of the bride's father, Thos. Laskey Esq., of Port Union. The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev John Chisholm B.A., of Dunbarton. The bride was accompanied by the groom's sister, Miss Aggie Thom, while the groomsman's position was filled by Thos. Andrew, of Toronto. There were present besides the relatives of the bride and groom, from a distance, many of the neighbors, making a bright and happy gathering. After sitting down to an excellent wedding supper, a few hours were spent in discoursing excellent music, and in the delivery of impromptu speeches. The presents were unusually numerous and valuable. The bride and groom left on a tour to Hamilton, Niagara and other places of interest, being accompanied to the station by well-wishing friends showering the customary rice and old shoes. On their return they 'settle down on the Laskey homestead "" Biglon Farm "" a short distance West of Dunbarton. To the happy young couple we extend sincerest wishes for a pleasant tour, and safe return and the choicest of God's blessing through the journey of life. "
