We acknowledge receipt of your letter of August 31st,
last, together with enclonnxe and are me pleamvd to submit the following
report.
(1) The Crown grant covering the e of lot 19 was lamed to Henry
Saito m the 8th day of July, 1799, we shall menswear On gat a copy of the
Grawn Patent for you.
(n) On August the 27th, 1821, Henry Sadth conveyed the land to Thomas
Husband by instnaant nusber hG20. J
(3) 0n tha 14th day of May, 1846, Them, Hubbard mnveynd the land to Jesse
imbord sem appears to be his son by imtrom®t ,ender 26834.'
(4) On the 4th day of Catober, 1850, Junes Hubbard conveyed the land to
Archibald C. Thomson, by instrusmt mabar 38150, he comeyad only the south
quarter.
(5) On the 28th day of August, 1a54, Archibald C. Theon conveyed the land
W Charles Thmeon, by inatrmM. sumer 1655.
(6) on tho 30th my of October, 1862 Charles Thomem rememeyed the land to
Archibald C. She mon by inmramat. vomer 20291.
(7) On the 22nd day of April, 1864 Archibald Thomson conveyed the lead to
John faith by instraent banner 23397.
(8) John Abith died on the 7th day of March, 1871 leaving the land to his
wife Elizabeth for her natural life and thea to his two nephews, the scan of
Me heather Thera faith. The name of these nephews were Robert H. Sbith
and John Setth. The Will is registered and instrunent numer 1207.
(9) On the 20th day of July, 1876 JOW Swith, Jr. sold We half-intwst to
Wlllim Pea by ivatnaent mer 3279 end on the same day, Robert H. faith
sold his half interest to the said wlllim Pees by instrudent muster 3280. It
would appear that Elisabeth 9nith who Wd the life Interest In the land must
have dial prior tc 1878.
(10) Jean Both, Jr, must still have had mon interest in the lends because
William Free had to apply to Lha Court for an O,ier debarring the said John
Srtth from marY right, title and inteocat in the said land. Thin heden was

registered on the 17th day of August, 1878 as norther 3292
(ll) On the 17th day of August, 1878, William From conveyed the land to
William {Atte by instrument nambaz 3293.
(12) On the 7th day a April, 1865, William hate conveyed the land to
William Brignall by Instrument answer 5676.
(13) William Brigna l died and the duly aFpnlnted A<Iminlsisrtar of Us
Entate one Harry Ellicott tried to sell the land at Public Abandon. At
the Auction there was no bid aro higher than the offer of $1,000.00 which
Francis F. Brignall male, therefore Herry Ellicott as Administrator of the
estate of William Brigmall and all the.vwxt-of-kin of William Brignall
conveyed the land to Francis F. Brignall on the 16th d•4 of Harch, 1899 by
inatrment smib¢ 9396.
(14) on the 2nd day of April, 1900, Francis Brignmll conveyed the land to
George A. Brignall by Instrument poster 9593.
(15) On the 51hh day of november, 1923, George A. Brigoall conveyed the land
to yourself by instrument Amber 16305.
Yaw entry dated the 21st day of October, 1847 deals with
a Gartgage front James Hubbard to Jonathan Gates and the entry immediately
below being the 8th tlq of October, 1850 Is the Discharge of that mortgage.
Your entry of the 16tb day of April, 1679 is an Assigmeud
of a Mortgage which William White gave to William From. The entry immediately
below that bang the 7th day of July, 1880 is the Discharge of that mortgage.
We also checked into the title of Andrew Thmp anaM found
that hie Inn was sort at the southwest corner of Int 13, Concession 5, but at
the southwest corner of iqt 18, Concessione5. Thin would be right across the
Brock Bead from your land.
By ivstrvment umber 29076 registered on the 19th day of
April, 1847 Andrew Thompson bought a one acre parcel at the southwest earner of
Us said Out 18. The parcel had a frontage of 5 chazns or 3P feet on the
Brock Road and was two chatom or 132 feet deep. In this bargain anal able
Andrew Thompson is described as an Inn Keeper. Andrew Thompson held this land
until his death apparently in the year 1886. Unfortunately we Gave no wap of
detenduUng prem the Registry documents Washer Andrew Thompson had built am
Lee daring this time on the property In question, but it is a fair presumption
that he aid since he is described as an Inn Keeper wad one acre in
delicately too small to fare.

Although there is no proof of the fact we are fully certain
that Charles Thompson wad a younger brother of Archibald C. Mompson, therefore
daring the 1850's and early 18601s the Thompson fondly owned the southwest
quarter of Lot 19, Concession 5: uW this one re parcel at the southwest
corner of int 10, Concession 5. Thin; was probably a fairly buay, comer being
the crossroads of the now Brock Road and the road to Whitevale, there it Is
quite likely that Andres Thomson did In fact build an Inn on the property
owed by am. If this is se it is very possible that this intersection became
locally known as Thomson's Corners, altMvgh we have found no reference to
that nme.
After as fatherls death Archibald C. Thomson conveyed the
one are property of hie father to his slater Susan Am Sleigh, the sure of
John Sleigh. This conveyance sea registered on the lath day of June, 1890 as
number 7250. The property then changed hands several times in rapid
succession and was finally purchased by Me present wear Caorge Edward Willson.

will seed you the copy of the Patent to your property as soon as us have
received the some.
