HomeMy WebLinkAbout1385Article photcopied from the Pickering News, January 31, 1947, page 1.Funeral Services For Well-Known Resident of Rouge HillsFuneral services were held on Saturday last for a well-known resident of Rouge Hills, in the person of Mrs. James Sutton who passed away at her home on Wednseday, following a brief illness. She was in her 63rd year.Born in London, Eng., she came to Canada in 1921. She resided in Toronto for a short time prior to moving to the Rouge.She and her husband were among the pionees of the community of Woodlands. She was well known and liked in the district, and will be missed by all who knew her. She was interested in the community affairs and was a member of the Anglican Church. Surviving are: her husband, two sons: Thos. R. Jones and Herbert Jones: four daughters: Evelyn (Mrs. Chambers), Dorothy (Mrs. Skidmore) and Margaret (Mrs.Dunbar). The funeral service was conducted from the chapel of McDougall and Brown, with Rev. E.G. Robinson officiating. Interment in Scarboro Memorial Park.
