Allison peacefully ended her days at the ripe old age of fully eight one years. She was one of the early settlers in this district and lived to see nearly all who came in with her removed before her call came. Mrs. Allison servived her husband by fifteen years he having died in August 1885 at the advanced age of 80 years. She was born Limekilns, Fifeshire; Scotland, in 1819 and came to Canada when about 20 years of age and has lived in Pickering Township for sixty one years. Mrs Allison was an extremely active woman, well liked and respected buy all who know her; she was the mother of eight children- four sons and four daughters-the survivors of whom namely, two sons and three daughters, together with a number of grandchildren accompanied by a numerous concourse of relatives and neighbours followed her remains on Wednesday to the family burying ground in Highland Creek.
