known resident of the township, Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Strickland, widow of the late Owen Strickland,
died suddnely at home in Toronto on Sunday at the age of 85 years. Her husband predeceased
her about ten years. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Strickland lived on the farm now owned and
occupied by W. H. Moore, M.P. They were very highly esteemed in the community and were
very active in church work, being connected with St. George's Church. Their daughter. Miss
Strickland, who died about ten years ago, was a missioinary in India for 23 years.
