School Section No. 9, Pickering.
At a School Meeting held here on the 22nd day of March 1850 it was moved that Frederick
Green Esq. be chariman and that George Ballard act as Secretary. It was moved by Mr
William Sadler and Seconded By John G Craig that it is Expedient to build a New School
House during the present year in the School Sect. Carried almost UnanimousIt was Moved
by Mr Law ---- seconded by William Sadler that the Trustees of this School Section, be
Authorised to Purchase one Acre of land from Edward Jackson adjoining the present
School Site. providing they can purchase the land for a reasonable Sum for the purpose of
Erecting a new School house thereon - Carried Proposed Size of School House be 32 feet
by 24 feet.
