Walt. Steep, 77, Fatally injured
Water Sleep, a life-long resident of Pickering was fatally injured on Monday evening when
struck bv a Markham car, just east of the No. 2 Highway and Brock road corner.
Mr. Sleep was
on his way is the village to visit the doctor, and was reportedly walking on the wrong side
of the road at the time. Multliple hip injury, back and head wounds were received.
Rushed to Oshawa Hospital, Mr. Sleep died the next day.
The funeral will be held today from the McEachnie Funeral in Erskine Cemetery.
Deceased was a member of the United Church and is survived by his wife, the former
Lottie Calvert, and two brothers. Edward and Morley, both of Pickering.
