Dr. D. W. Ferrier, born 1833, after certification by the
faculty of Victoria College, began to practice in Brougham in
1862. He obtained the degree of M.D. from Victoria in 1867.
He was commissioned associate coroner for Ontario County in
1879. From 1882 to 1892 he practised in Claremont, after
which date he resided and practised in Toronto. 'Dr. Ferrier
was a son of William Ferrier, who was born in 1810 at Mark-
ham, moving to Lot 35, Con. 5, Pickering, in 1838.
