Beaton. Waller Wilson, grandson of pioneer Richard Wilson, served
most of his life, from 1906, as the village Blacksmith. His forging skills,
expertise at horseshoeing and craftsmanship were known for and wide.
He retired in 1959 at age 86. In 1%7 the shop was relocated in
Brougham bot returned to the Pickering Museum in Greenwood in
1979. Here a Blacksmith can once more be seen demonstrating his
ancient arts for enthralled spectators visiting the museum.
