The local branch of the Red
cross will be conducting its annual
ca.mpa.ign for funds during the mon;.h
of March. Many in our midst are new
to this area, and may be un-ava.re of
the fact that since we live outside
the Metro boundary, we receive no
assistance from the United Appeal.
We must raise all our funds from
this annual March appeal.
Some of the projects carried out
by the local branch are -
Blood Donor Service This is very
necessary work, and blood donors a.re
always needed. The next clinic will
be held in Pickering Village in
late spring.
Disaster, Fire & Welfare Blankets,
bedding and clothing are supplied in
times of emergency or where there is
real need in the home.
Water Safety All schools in
