PASSES AT 84
one of Trenton's oldest citizens,.
Plmma Bentley Hooey, widow of
the late Stuart Hooey passed away
in her 85th year Saturaay morning,
August 12, at Miss Shannik's Rest
Home, Trenton. She had been ill
for some time.
Mrs. Hooey was held in the high-
est regard by a large circle of
friends and acquaintances. She was
an active member of St. Andrew's
Presbyterian Church for many
years.
Born in Brougham, Ontario,
daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs.
Louis Bentley, she moved to Tren-
ton at an early age. Surviving are
two sons, Douglas Pierson and
Donald Ross Hooey and one daugh-
ter, Marjorie, all of Trenton. The
late Mr. Stuart Hooey died three
years ago.
The late Mrs. Hooey rested at
the Weaver Funeral Mme until
time of service, 1.30 p.m. Monday,
August 14, from the Funeral Home
to Mount Evergreen Cemetery, i
conducted by the Rev. R. C. Mc-
Lean.
Pallbearers were Dougall Bleek-
er, Col. H. J. Smith, Thomas Young,
Ralph Bonter, Harry Palmer and
Donald Fraser.
