The outlook for the creditors has not been made much brighter by the sale. -While attempting to swim across the Humber River on Fri- day afternoon, Norman Mussel - man, became exhausted and sank. Ont of about seventy fowl abont half a- dozen were saved and these were badly injur- ed. The loss would have 'been greater but for • the energetic manner. in which those present worked to prevent the spread of the flames. The total loss will be over $2.000 insured for 51,030 in the Maple Leaf. Much sym- pathy is felt for Mr. Deverell in hip great loss, especially when oc- curing under such circumstances.
