Radiation has a "privileged" position in
comparison to chemical toxins and that
privilege should no longer be tolerated, says
Ken Rubin, director of nuclear research and
senior policy analyst for Energy Probe.
Mr. Rubin called for stricter radiation
standards Friday before the Durham Nu-
clear Health Committee, a body of public.
Durham Region and Ontario Hydro repre-
sentatives formed to deal with public health
issues related to the Pickering and Darling-
ton nuclear stations.

Panders Harvey's peewee select hock-
ey team defeated Keswick 7-5 in a re-
cent league contest.
Chris Macllwain led the Harvey's
offence, scoring twice including the
game winner. Chad Tkachok and Eric
Ranta also added two -goal efforts,
'David Kenny chipped in with the other
Panthm' marker. Assists went to Sean
McAteer. Rants, Matt Glavin, Jesse
Seward and John Vouch,
Goahcnder Rory Black was solid in
net to register the win, improving the
peewee Panthers' record to 9-4-1.

two recent tournaments.
The Raiders opened the Kitchen-
er tourney with a 5-1 loss to the De-
troit Honeybaked team. Brent Small
scored the lone Raiders' goal, as-
sisted by Patrick Milne and Michael
Rocca. Goalie Paul Benson was
out -standing between the pipes, turning
