Horticultural Society Picnic
Few people in Pickering Township know that there is so delightful and interesting a
place in the township, as Twin Waters, the summer home with the Old Mill Museum,
of C. R. Purcell. He and his good wife welcomed the Horticultural friends at their place
on Saturday last, when a delightful time was spent. After inspection of the many
implements of farm and home seen in the Mill, and a visit to the gardens and ponies,

Mrs. Newman were among the visitors. Alex. Gourlie, on behalf of the Society,
extended thanks to the host and hostess for the splendid [picnic]
