1959, page 1.Popular Twp. Councilman, Deputy-Reeve Frank Disney PassesFuneral services
were held yesterday for the late Frank Disney. Deputy-Reeve of Pickering Township, who
passed away suddenly on Monday noon at home north of Greenwood.Mr. Disney had been a
diabetes patient for some years, though may of his friends were never aware of it. His jovial
good natured personality hid any suffering he may have endured. He had not been feeling so
well over the week-end, and on Monday morning for the inaugural meetin of this year;s Twp.
Council Voard, he was obliged to send word of his inalbility to attend and passed away a few
hours from a thrombosis.Mr. Disney was a lifelong resident of this township and was on the
council for five years. Known to nearly eaveryone of the older residents of this municipality,
his ready wit and enthusiam will be m issed by many adfferent groups in Pickering.Surviving are:
his widow, the former Alma Maynard, four children: Cecil, Earl, Marion and EAvelyn, and tow
sisters, Mrs. L Rumtle, of Bancouver and Mrs. Sam Waddell of Calgaru.Deceases wa 55 years
of age.Interment took place at Salem Cemetery with his minister Rev. H. R. Monkman
conducting the service.
