Harold WintonCornor Dr. V.E. Cartwright and Crown Attorney A.F. Aunis conducted an inquest
into the death of Harold Winton, of the Services, who was fatally injured in a side-swiping out-of-
control accident in the village of Dunbarton before Christmas. The inquest was held in the Town
Hall, Pickering on Tuesday evening.The jury brought in the following verdict - "Harold Winton
came to his death at Christie St. Hospital , Toronto, on December 25, 1944, as a result of skull
fractures and lacerations of the brain, caused by a collision of his truck, while out of control, with
a properly parked car, at Dunbarton, on December 21st."
